Another one of those live in the moment threads. CeeDee is real good but he’s being targeted constantly. Seems like he’s the only one that can consistently get open. If we lose him to injury we’re screwed!

Prisoners of the moment...that's what many fans are.
Do your research. Ive been the biggest Ceedee Lamb supporter on this board. I wanted to draft him to replace Amari Cooper before he was even in Dallas.

There is no in the moment posting here. We can go accolades, numbers/production, home/road splits etc. and they will all show that Ceedee is a better receiver than Amari Cooper

Plain and simple

  • Plays all over the formations
  • Shows up in big games
  • Shows up on the road
  • Reliable injury-wise (knock on wood)
In this terrible offense, he is on pace for:

111 catches
1537 yards
7 TDs

He is a number 1 receiver and if you think otherwise, youre insane

I said it before, and I'll say it again. Cooper was on his 3rd team before the age of 30 for a reason. He disappeared in big games and away games.

I don't know how you thought my comment was a against Lamb.
My statement was about a numbers of CZ members that go cold or negative against any Cowboys player that does not have a good performance.
I saw from watching him at OU he was going to be a top WR in the league-- and am glad Dallas drafted him.

Dunno about Better, yet, but he was the difference maker today. Just think how different todays game could've been, when Dak got sacked three times and then CeeDee helps change that momentum. Sometimes when you don't have a momentum changer like that the game takes on a different feel.

He's been better since his first year.. Even Amari would tell you that. In fact, he said, "CeeDee been ready" because even Amari knows he's a better player, as egocentric as Amari is.

We did, and if you remember my argument, absolutely nothing has changed.

Nobody said Lamb wasn’t capable of a 150yd performance. Gallup is too. Would that make Gallup a true #1 WR? Of course not. The argument against CeeDee is, like Dak, he has great performances every year but he’s way too inconsistent to be in the grouping with the top WRs in the NFL

How many TD catches did he has going into this game? Would you believe One?How many 100 yard games did CeeDee have going into this game? Still only one.

Maybe he does it against Philly next week. But will he do it the week after that, and the week after that? We both know the answer is no. He’ll show up again a random weekend in December, put up a season rivaling last year, and everyone here will give each other high fives.

If that’s worth 30m$ a year to you, go right ahead, I won’t complain. But the fact CeeDee had this big of a game only further exemplifies the point: the last time CeeDee had even 70 yards and a TD in the same game was before Christmas last year. If you said that about Tyreek, about Davante, about Stefon, about AJ, about JJ, on and on, the narrative would be, “what’s wrong with them?” But with CeeDee it’s, “CeeDee’s great, isn’t he?”
I'll tell you the real issue.

The Cowboys know exactly how talented Lamb is.. If they allow him to play up to his full potential, that will end up costing them, having to pay a top 3-5 WR in the league, which I believe is what Lamb is. Definitely top 10. I also think the Cowboys understand this. They see him every day. It's about 1) keeping him healthy and 2) paying him like a top 20 WR as opposed to a top 5.. They are holding him back, intentionally. At this point, I think they feel they've held him back enough and are ready to unleash him.

I was just writing on CeeDee's YT that I thought he would turn it on after the bye, which is exactly what I think we'll see from here on out. I expect them to try to win the division this year. They need Lamb now.. They know where they stand.. and are in good position.

See you next week. I know it'll be a good game either way. I expect the Eagles will underestimate us..

The other issue is that an injury to Lamb would be devastating for the season. More so than Diggs.

I was so against him being our #1 last season. Boy was I wrong. I've had to admit that since mid season last year. Agree with OP he's elite.
If you couldn't see Lamb was a legit #1, you probably didn't know as much as you thought. Lamb has always been a #1 level WR.
