The numbers may look good against Detroit, Chicago and our division

But you show me on paper some game changing plays by a DC Te and we'll stack them up against Coopers and I bet he has more than the 25 years worth of "CAPABLE" tes in that BIG BONEPILE OUT BACK THAT SCORED 1 PLAYOFF TD EVER!!! HA HA HA

And we still lost against Green Bay

Tyron could be the Designated te no farther than our tes are catching passes lmao hahaha

I betcha we'd have 10 more xs success

He's a better run blocker than all of these tes he'd eat em up head to head

Comparing having an AJ Brown or Cooper to a scheme w hendershot and Ferguson just sounds and looks fishy

It sounds like a downgrade to me. I think it sound, looks, smells, feels, and taste like a downgraded scheme

It seems to be magically working in the regular season for years.

But let's break out those playoff stats and see those first

We didn't use it much last year, after Jarwin got hurt. I doubt you'll find it much in the 9ers game.

And our ol was playing poorly and Zeke was the same hobbled up slow rb and Pollard was still on the bench!!!!

What if cooper woulda had some of that going for him.

Against the 49ers we forcefed the ball to Schultz'kowski taking a target away from a guy that could score.

We fell behind and never recovered until it was too late if I remember clearly lol

Do those stats show any of that???

How bout those 3 yard passes on 3rd and 15 to #82 in those 3 straight 8-8 year elimination games w Hanna playing all of those passing snaps???

How about Swaim. I could bring the Escobar years into it but I'm holding off out of respect (praying)

How about the Cold Beasley era where he was good enough to save our tail on 3rd down but too little to play 1st and 2nd down but he did it in Buffalo for 2+ years

Same old Gronk Hernandez scheme w the same non factors at te

Ah, I'm not crediting the TEs for those pop plays, but the formation, more so.

It could very well be CD or Gallup going off, or the RUN GAME. I see the logic in it helping the run game with the extra big bodies.

So you'd rather use hendershot or Fergie over Tyron or Tyler Smith???

Or Cooper

You're not crediting the passing game just the run attack.

Why not just use an extra tackle? And throw them 3 yard passes in the flat lmao

Those tes aren't impactful in the passing game anyways ya see

If You have to pick an extreme between a smith brother and coop who ya choosing?

We are still using 5 linemen? The 1 stands for RBS, and the 2, or 3 stands for TES, hence 12 personell. You get 1 rb, 2 tes, 2, wrs, 5 oline and the qb.

I'm not suggesting it either.

Im only telling you it's what we do, and it's VERY EFFECTIVE.

You're not arguing with me, you're arguing with the results.

12 personnel was the most effective grouping for the Cowboys as they averaged 1.1 yards per attempt and 0.1 more yards per carry than their overall averages.Feb 27, 2022

Ok our oline did improve running the ball but Pollard has been better than Zeke for 2 years because he has more out the gate and top end speed

Alot was on Tyron being hurt and Biadish improving

One thing I was wrong about was Tyron injury and the impact of Tyler Smith to replace him

But Schultz, Pollard, and Cooper (and Lost a step Zeke) I still feel pretty good I'm right about.

Pollard is still the lead back going back 2 years ago imo
LOL....if you say so.

Tony has only "carried the load" a couple games...and done quite well! A few games he didn't even really block in the passing game. That will have to change dramatically to be the workhorse lead back all season +6.

I'm not saying he can't. He's done well dabbling. But let's not pretend he's accomplished everything zeke has....yet.

Maybe a couple rushing championships will help!

But these tes haven't done nothing but block mediocre'ly for 25 years

I'm arguing the stats over a 20 year period. Its right there in black and white.

These tes can catch a 1000 passes and only score 3 tds so it's worth the price of not having 3 top wrs because the scheme w non factor blocking skilled players is the magical formula for us in the playoffs ??? Really now

These tes have never been capable.

Unless you talking about capable of going long stretches w/o scoring

And that's playing 135% of the passing snaps.

We never stick to perfecting the 11 personnel on 1st and 2nd down and the element of surprise is opposite and better stats shine brightly on all those 1st and 2nd down.

But 3rd down is the critical down last time I checked. Js

So now we are arguing against 25 years of "mediocre" TE play? You are lumping 2 rookies in to that category as well?

During those 25 years we've had how many different coordinators, and TEs? Then you're also adding Witten into the mix.

All I did was educate you as to what we do well and perhaps the logic behind the choice to move from Coop.

I never supported the move personally. I also never advocated for any formation. I simply relayed the facts to you, and you are WAY TO DENSE to comprehend that.

You're seeking out an argument with someone who has offered no opinion. It's a bit ridiculous, my guy. I'll just chalk you up as a low information poster.

Yeah but gallop is not filling coopers shoes, and Noah brown is not filling gallops shoes

You seem to be focussing on the #1 wr role not the whole wr tandem and I conceded that CeeDee should be the #1 wr

I'm not even a huge cooper fan. I just think trading cooper and not replacing him was a boneheaded move going back to when they did it.

They used the Gregory money to sign Armstrong and barr and their safety.

That cooper money went to sign Schultz whose just a non factor and James Washington

I woulda took any of those fa wrs not just coop. But he had like 1000 yards and 7 tds

And Schultz turned back into a frog like I predicted without Cooper

Coopers contract was year to year because he was through w guarantees. Just had to pay the 20 million or renegotiate the contract to lower the cap hit.

We basically signed Schultz
over keeping Coop. Thinking all the other wrs would get better and why CeeDee did improve into the #1 wr the other guys didn't

That's why there was no separation when we played Philly who went up on us 20-3 by halftime

We would be great with Randy Moss too buddy, but you have to manage the roster and the salary cap. Just pointing out that the team would be better with Cooper is a side note. Reality dictates you have to manage the team and getting rid of Cooper for 22 million for the next 3 years and using that money to keep both Gallup and Shultz was the right call. Lamb has stepped up as the featured #1 and more than taken on that role. Not to mention what we are saving the next 2 years.

Gallup can get 1000 yards and 6-8 TD's in a fully healthy year and thats pretty much what Cooper was doing here. The offense is actually better than it was last year so no we dont miss Cooper.

Its a non issue. Only guys still crying about Cooper just cant admit it was the right move.

literally no one said that. The frustration is that we easily could’ve had both and not be looking for a decent third option right now.
Yeah if we had 3 Jerry rices we should stick w Jake Ferguson and Schultz in the 12 personnel because the stats somehow magically dictates that???

Only in DC nation would you hear something as mind blowing as that!!!

These coaches don't dictate that either. Someone higher up has that etched in stone lmao.

Only someone who has a thing for those take what the defense gives ya tes ha ha ha

How many more years do we have to lose before we change???? My kids are getting old and I'd like to relive winning at least one playoff game ha ha ha

Those stats y'all looking at are regular season stats because all I've seen is tes getting tossed around like rag dolls come playoff time lmao

Jake Ferguson is the key to our success over A top wr on 1st and 2nd down.

He trump's Jerry rice and Tyler Smith because of his position not talent.

Somebody put a spell on our fans to stick w outdated traditions I've been preaching for 7+ years

Why all those other teams getting our rings are not using the same logic and have a great trio at wr and/or te?

Maybe because thats what it takes to score and win ya"d think???

Witten scored 1 TD in the playoffs his whole career and we lost.

There is the black n white stat right there

They look pretty in a few blowout games per year against Detroit and Chicago and in our own division somehow but then we target them by mistake in the playoffs and we lose wasting throws on NON-FACTORS

At least Coop was a factor

tyvm for all the games you won with your scoring ability that drew coverage away from the other guys coop

Just to throw balls and all those Non Factor Completions to our Non Factor tes

Look Kelce in the eyes and ask him how important it is to use scheme over talent at the te position and see what he tell ya

He'd tell ya to roll out of 11 personell and get you a Trio at wr

The Duo at te bringing a big fat zero for 25 years cuz you don't have him and just making excuses

I'd tell ya same thing if I was a stud te

I wish .

All I can say is we coulda had Jelani woods in the 2nd round

I bet he coulda ate good in this offense last year w cooper here and we'd be undefeated w this defense w Pollard as the Lead Dog

In the 11 personell not with schultzkowski.

He's still not ever gonna be as good as #82 in his prime and he needed a trio at wr because he was a non factor for many years in the big scheme of stats, playoff wins, and rings that's missing from his resume

Sometimes it's not in the regular season stats and it's the stats that are hidden.

Like 1 playoff TD in over 20 years out of 10 games as a te core . 20 years and all this argument over 1 TD in losing fashion.

Their Non Factors and your dreaming if any top te wouldn't tell ya that.

I'm sorry that I don't and will never agree because I know Kelce could come in rn and win a Superbowl for us in the 11 personell w Cee dee, Gallop, Brown, Kelce, and Pollard leading the passing and run attack.

Uhhhh confused on most of this. But if you’re implying that the playoff loss is solely on Amari….well….because Ceedee, Zeke, Dak, Micah, Tank, and Diggs
Played too…sorta

much well since Ferguson is a rookie who we drafted with our fourth round pick, we would have him regardless of what we did with Amari….sooooo we could’ve just kept Amari and still added Ferguson then we’d have both instead of trying to find a third WR and busted Odell Beckham…

I'm not gonna put all the blame on our defense because we're always down by 20 every playoff games.

I'ma lay in on the positions and players that have not been producing well.

The defense doesn't get a free pass but we put up zeros in the first half of alot of those games

Them playoff teams somehow know how to beat our 12 personnel scheme every time last I checked.

Why should they get a free pass to be subpar and not Kelce Gronk Kittle etc etc etc who y'all have in your fantasy leagues lmao

It basically takes a 4 studs in skilled positions out of the 5 that are non QB in today's era

Or a #1 QB and 3 # 1 Triplets and a top 2-3 defense

We don't have Mahomes and

We don't have the Quadruplets

Sorry

Somebody has to overcome the scoring avgs in today's era not back in the win 12-9 football era. But this te core and scheme have vomited up 1 playoff TD in 20 plus years as a whole group in a loss

They did it with guys just exactly like Schultz and Fergie lmao

Y'all can come out the spell now SNAP!!!!

Who is taking Fergie much less schultz in their fantasy stats for the playoffs said no one EVER!!!!!

YOUR ROLLING W KITTLE AND KELCE

I've broken it apart in extremes down to y'all in every way possible

And if you cannot see that Cooper is a game changer and big factor compared to Jake Ferguson then that koolaide must be spiked

Out of all 10 approximate playoff games 1 TD by our te core out of 20 years of tes is capable of what???

Some meaningless stats.

How many of our tes have never scored a playoff td in 20-25 years out of how many playoff games? Lmao

At least tell me that???

Tell me that stat please.

Then we can start blaming everybody else and Argue that nobody gets a free pass besides our te core.
Ha ha ha

We'll never quit arguing about who the best non factor te was

1 playoff TD in 25 years

There is no argument that we need a Trio to go w our running attrack.

Especially without Anthony brown and maybe for that game against Philly where they somewhat similar except they got the best running QB and a grass pedigree

Remember those words

Dak can run that ball too.

Run Dak run don't be scared that's what it's gonna take for you to outrun hurts

This te core will drop the ball in the playoffs again and won't have any of that good regular season blocking

Its just an 4 yard pass that might net our te 8.9 yards if you can get open and not pee yo pants and fumble or get picked off anyways.

Learn how to throw to some scoring threats and differencemakers Kellen

Just make sure they stay out of Cee Dee's Lane or it won't end well prolly with a pick or a drop or a missed block lmao

I'm sorry but I personally think we need more firepower than Pollard, CeeDee, and Gallop

Maybe we're just focussed on tradition and not talent

I get it but its depleting that all we have to hope for is winning the NFC East that hasn't been that tough

I'd like to say that this 12 te scheme works for a lot of mediocre te core teams that are on "our level" or lower but I don't recall anybody in this era besides Burrows and Cincy to do it and he has precision pin point accuracy and can run when needed plus it didn't hurt that he has Jamar Chase and Thiggins

They had Ozoma at te prolly better than Schultz by a hair
