Why? Feeling lonely and in need of a kicker's comfort?

Zero. She didn't mind sleeping with football players at all, just no kickers. Problem was, Hos was the kicker.

wow, some of you are taking some pretty good shots at hos.

Just as I was ready to start my petition to ban kicking from Football, this prospect intrigues me.

Still say bring back Folk for competition. Let them fight it out and best man wins.

Folk is done here. Even if he did work out his terminal YIPS, he doesn't have the team behind him. Everyone...including all of us, would hold our breath every time he hit the field. It's over with Folk...get past it. I say bring in anybody who they can for camp and workouts. Kicker HAS to be fixed this coming season

There are the same size. Width is 18' 6".

It should be noted that the CFL has it's goal posts at the front of the end zone. The CFL ball is also more "kicker friendly" as it is fatter in the middle.

Yes, reports were last month of december that Suisham field goal attempts were awful (while wade said they were good, enough of this not putting the players under the bus, make them accountable. If their bad, let them know and kick their rear ends) while Buehler's attempts were pitiful compared to Suisham.

I think we need to hire a kicking field goal coach. Work with this new guy were looking at and work with Folk.

FWIW, up until the beginning of this season, here were the Top 10 active NFL field goal percentage leaders:

1. Nick Folk, Dallas Cowboys (86.79%)
2. Nate Kaeding, San Diego Chargers (86.13%)
3. Robbie Gould, Chicago Bears (85.94%)
4. Shayne Graham, Cincinnati Bengals (85.64%)
5. Stephen Gostkowski, New England Patriots (85.56%)
6. Rob Bironas, Tennessee Titans (84.50%)
7. Matt Stover, free agent (83.70%)
... (DeAngelis, Calgary Stampeders, a career 83.40%)
8. Phil Dawson, Cleveland Browns (82.81%)
9. Jeff Reed, Pittsburgh Steelers (82.65%)
10. John Carney, free agent (82.59%)

Maybe Folk can get his mojo back?

I am all for Folk back if he can regain his confidence. No reason not to bring him back in the offseason and let him get to work.

And find a damn holder too.

I agree and in the meantime I would bring in another kicker as well to compete.

they said he was the most accurate kicker in cfl history;
So was Mike Vanderjagt before the Colts signed him.

It is just a workout, so we'll see. We've gone this route before with Arena kickers, it is no harm to look under this rock.

I think that offseason hip surgery really hurt him, bring him at least back to TC.

On November 23, 2008, DeAngelis won his first Grey Cup championship with the Calgary Stampeders against the hosting Montreal Alouettes. His 5 field goal performance, including one from 51 yards, earned him the Dick Suderman Trophy as the Grey Cup's Most Outstanding Canadian.

True leading up to training camp cut it down to 2 for training camp as part of the 80 man roster. I would not want to eat up more than 2 spot for camp but leading up to training camp I would look to bring guys in and work them out

That and he did not like his holder and the coaches did not do anything about it, therefore messing up his confidence further.

Anyone know if there's any difference in terms of CFL vs NFL ball, width of goal post? Any reason CFL kicker can't be successful in NFL.

What about AFL? AFL goal posts are very narrow. You make that you make any NFL field goal.
