You are assuming quite a bit here. How do you know that those who are outrage at Vick's situation aren't outraged at other events? Just because it wasn't displayed on your computer screen?

I'm outraged at many of the world events but does that need to be expressed every time I talk about Vick?

If you are going to morally condemn Vick for his actions against animals then do I get to morally condemn others who I don't have the same morals as.

Legality aside mind you, because as I have said before legality does not determine right and wrong just has more consequences.

Oh, it's wrong, that is for sure. Domestic violence should not happen at all!

But, let's look here...we have three things, a man, a woman, and a dog, right? Of these three which have the free will to decide what to do in their lives, which of these three are capable of rationalization, which of these three are able to communicate their fears? And, which of these three could you beat to hell and still have them love you unconditionally...

That in it's basic form is the difference...

Carry on...

You have a point and this is my weakest example, but another of my examples does not have a free will to decide and cannot communicate it's fears and it is not a dog but is treated with less respect and we kill them every day. Can you guess what it is?

I'm surprised that headline doesn't say "Former Cowboy" in there somewhere.
Former NFL defensive tackle Chad Eaton, who would had been TOs teammate if he stayed two more years was arrested for investigation of domestic violence.

Yeah, that sounds about right.

If you are speaking about the lady or man...at the first hint of trouble with her man/woman, they should have had the common sense to get the hell out of there. There are many instances where the man or lady will make the choice to stay and try and work it out, only to have it happen time and time again until something drastic happens like someone getting killed.

Other instances where a man and a woman are argueing and if you or I try to intervene, both of them will turn on us!

Ideal weight for a women of 5 feet, 4 inches is 120 to 125 lbs. 130 sounds just about right to me but what do I know?

Honestly, that's a double standard. Investigations go on all the time, and it just seem folks pick and choose when to get self-righteous.

When Vick was being investigated, threads went hundred posts deep. Over cruelty to animals. Now that he's indicted, every update gets a minimum over a hundred. A domestic violence thread? = 20 posts over a 24 hr period.

Vick being investigated = Outrage
TO says something not quite PC = Outrage
Former NFLer investigated for domestic violence = *yawn*

My response is: "Due Process". If he is guilty burn him at the stakes. If he is not, burn her at the stakes. Same goes for Michael Vick. I believe he should be able to attend training camp. He hasn't been convicted yet. If he does get convicted, suspend him then if he isn't already in jail.

They are dogs here, OK. So, about being realistic, if you are comparing dogs to human beings then you need to be realistic!

We are talking about brutality to other human beings.

Sorry, big differnece in my view of things!

Does not make what Vick has done justifiable by any means.

I just think it is very odd that so many are so outraged, more about what is done to animals, than inhumanities done to human beings.

you get called a drama queen a lot? i'd imagine so.

And that is just my point.

Human beings have the ability to Get up and walk out of the door and out of a relationship more times than not.

This couple seems to have a history of domestic violence where SHE hit him, not the other way around.

They both have the ability to end the relationship.

Dogs do not have that choice unless somehow they get lucky and someone leaves a gate open and they escape.

Of course I am sure that does not fit any vick agenda but there you go...the simple truth.

Bravo. The singular point of clarity as to why so many people are up in arms over something as trivial as Dog Fighting.

It's not exactly that easy. There a lot of things that can it make it harder for a person to leave an abusive situation. One of them being he's 300 lbs and she's 130.

I'm not exactly sure what happened in this case, the article is a little confusing. But I have to agree with aikemirv. It's pretty sad that this gets no attention compared what Vick gets. They're both contemptible actions.

It is one of the same reasons people get up in arms about children being abused more than they would adult women.

It is not that they are ok with adult women being abused. Unless you abuse women yourself chances are you are not going to be ok with it.

Children are normally caught in it and do not have the means to escape it most of the time.

Children and dogs depend on adults to shelter them, feed them and protect them and they should never be set up to be taken advantage of for a terrible reason of entertainment of certain situations.

Nobody wants to see women get abused, and we have no clue if that is the case in this situation at all. We have no report saying the girl was hit, kicked, bitten or any other information.

We do have information of what the vick situation entails. Whether it has been proven or not at least we know what it is about in specific details.

People sometimes just go overboard trying to justify one thing with something completely different IMO.

Taking one thread about one topic and feeling the need to go into a completely different thread about a different topic that is barely similar...spout off some holier than thou stuff or calling out people and than probably wonder why someone would argue about it.

I really don't like M&M blizzards from Dairy Queen. So after work I think I will go to McDonalds and complain about their milk shakes.

I mean they both are ice cream related products from fast food joints and I want to make a stink about it.

Hard in some cases but not impossible in most.

A dog can not leave unless someone leaves a gate open or something along those lines.

Many times PEOPLE chose to stay in those relationships. This specific case has a history where she has hit him in the nose. They CHOSE to stay together after that.

There is no way anyone can rationally justify abuse unless it is self defense. However at the same time there is no rational reason to go from one thread and topic to another just to say...

LOOK AT ME...WHERE'S THE OUTRAGE

...unless you just want attention to justify your own stance on the Vick situation. By doing so, whether it is your intention or not, you set yourself up to look foolish.

Vick is just like a child abuser.

Give it a break and actually think about the reasons instead of generalization arguments that so many use over and over.

Geez.

It is so predictable from people.
