Need to trade following guys before Cowboys are forced to cut for nothing:

1. RB Alfred Morris: Not beating DMC for Zeke's leftovers, 3rd string RB needs to play ST

2. KR/Slot Lucky Whitehead: Writing on wall with Switzer pick in 4th round, not a RKG to boot

3. CB Orlando Scandrick: Still very good starter but always nicked up, Lewis/Jones/Brown/Awuzie can all play nickel corner w/o great drop off - was rumored to be on trade block for good reason (3 corners drafted)

4. WR Brice Butler: Great size and speed, but inconsistent, spacey and not good run blocker - work ethic, physicality & penchant for big plays by Ryan Switzer and Noah Brown likely forces him out - Andy Jones also lurking

5. LB/RDE/ST Kyle Wilber: Jack of all trades, master of absolutely none, RKG but faster LB/SS hybrids like Nzeocha, Joe Jones and Luke Wacha plus more real DE options like Benson, Irving, Tank, Taco, Tap, Leslie and Neal finally force out this hard working dude

If Cowboys can get some mid-low picks plus a true pressure player at RDE (aging vet and/or young unknown like Tyrone Holmes) instead of losing these players for nada then I have hope Garrett is finally learning from his mentor, Belichick, about turning over and collecting assets.

Scandrick is the only one with any chance of having trade value.

Morris: When they say RBs are devalued in the modern NFL, it does not include elite RB like Zeke, but depth type RBs definitely don't have much value. Blocking, receiving and ST are all weak areas for Morris.

Whitehead: Tons of similar guys in the draft or as UDFAs every year. Team don't trade for these types.

Scandrick: Maybe

Butler: He signed a cheap contract with the Cowboys. Anybody could have signed him without giving up any draft picks.

Wilber: Most teams would not pay his salary even if the Cowboys traded him for a Bottle of Johnnie Walker. The base salary follows the player in a trade.

Agreed on everything except the ability to trade them. Wilber is versatile and plays ST.

Initially thought OP was suggesting releasing these players and to be honest kinda considered it.

Hope all of them prove me an idiot.

These players will be discarded, if not this season then next. Cowboys are notorious for losing assets for nothing in return during the Jerry only era. Fans have become lockstep in accepting this outcome.

Beli has actual assets. The guys you've listed have little value. Comparable players can be had for nothing

If we are notorious, why can't I think of a single example?

Demarcus Ware, Tony Romo, Demarco Murray, Jay Ratliff, Greg Ellis, Terrell Owens, Julius Jones, Marion Barber, Chris Canty, Mike Jenkins, Felix Jones, Terrence Newman, Randal Godfrey, Ron Stone, etc.

There are a ton of first rounders and pro bowlers on that list. If Landry could trade the troubled Sphinx Thomas and Jimmy could trade scrubs like Darrin Nelson then there was a market for above players BEFORE they got to free agency or were just outright released.

Not sure fans are loyal, that's why players aren't. Butler helped us last year, made a few mistakes, as a 3rd stringer does. He was only here a year and already, we're done? Okay.

Nobody is trading for any of those guys. I wouldn't trade a 7th for any of those guys. I'd rather have them in camp as competition and let them walk if they aren't good enough the team.
