That would be fantastic, McCarthy will get a job, Jerry will get his time in the headlines which he cherishes, and we will have a small shot at getting a real NFL coach.

That’s true.

But in Dallas, you have two human meat shields to take the brunt of criticis.

You do very minimal press conferences and no matter how much you stink .. people will ALWAYS hate Jerry and Stephen more.

Chicago would be decent. Jacksonville is an easier division to make noise in.

But he’s settled here and has his type of players. It would be stupid to say no and move elsewhere.
What are “his type of players”? Are you suggesting there are some types of players he can’t coach?

When he first came here, I thought he was going to be excited because unlike Green Bay, Dallas would sign higher tier free agents.

After seeing the bargin hunting mindset from the organization the last couple of years he may very well prefer to go to an organization where he has more say in that area.
I’d love it if McCarthy told Jerry to shove it and made the reasons public.

Then Moore goes elsewhere if Philly makes a run, and Zimmer is ready to quit entirely regardless.

Could happen.

I know a lot and myself have been frustrated at the lack of playoff success. But the bears have been a joke since the double doink

If they could get back to the playoffs I think they would take it.

Only thing now is the nfcN looks stacked

I think they'd be crazy to not have Ben Johnson as their top target this offseason, but McCarthy would be a perfect backup option in my opinion. A veteran offensive minded HC is a very good idea to bring some stability to that franchise.

Like it or not Jerry and the Cowboys hire whoever they want to hire as coach. Name me one coach that was offered the job that said no. Also Jerry gives the coaches more freedom/choices than any other owner. The Cowboys front office is an issue no doubt but the Cowboys organization is not as bad as 70% of the rest of the league. Certainly not as bad as Chicago.
