Leary finishes better than what we saw Sunday night. But Green was good enough that I think it's not a ludicrous conversation - other than the whole it was only one game aspect.
Green was terrific. Definitey better getting to the 2nd level and pulling than Leary.
Even more ironic is that Leary is out injured.
It doesn't take much to be better then Leary at getting to the 2nd level but I felt like Leary was the best on our team at moving a guy that's lined up over him.
Jeremy Parnell was better than both of them. Hell, Jeremy would have played both left guard and right tackle at the same time.
I hesitate to say he's better. My belief is he has the ability to be better because of superior movement skills. Leary spent several years at guard and was very good at it last year. I think it will take some time for Green to play consistently the way Leary did last year, but his ceiling is higher IMO if he can stay healthy.
You'll have to draft an O Linemen anyway. If Chaz can stay healthy somebody will pay him tackle money and he'll be gone regardless. Is what it is.If Green is the guy, we are going to draft his replacement in the third round this year and start him in 2019.
True but overall when you add up Green taking over for Leary and Collins taking over for Free I think this OL will be much improved. Green play was still very good and Collins given he was going up against JJP was outstanding
You're going to have to do that with that LG slot regardless. With 4 big contracts, you can only afford to pay that guy rookie scale. Best thing to do would be to draft a day 2 guy, develope him for a year and have start him for 3 years on a super cheap deal. Rinse and repeatYou'll have to draft an O Linemen anyway. Im one of the few people that thinks Green may be a better OT then Collins. His play at LT last year was very impressive.Oh Collins will only get better.
I wasn't and still not completely sure about Green at LG.
I think it's odd that they didn't just leave Collins and Green in their original positions. IMO they are both tackles.
I think they just want Collins to play RT for monetary reasons and they feel like they can find guards easier.

It's only one game, but Green did look good on several plays. I guess I only worry about his health- seems banged up often.Green was terrific. Definitey better getting to the 2nd level and pulling than Leary.

i look forward to it.Thank you,, I plan on focusing on that when I review the game later this evening.
