My point is just about any solid back playing all 16 games could lead the league in rushing behind this line given 400 carries.

and my point very few could handle that load. That in and of itself it not an easy task. 1,800 no matter how you slice it is not easy to get. Not anyone can do it. Add to that as an all around RB he could run, catch and block he was not a liability in the backfield where as so many others they could not block to save their lives let alone the QB life.

Yep, but Murray couldnt handle less carries then that for 3 years prior. So it appears to me that he got lucky staying healthy. And that really is the point. No one is going to get 400 carries like that and certainly not Murray ever again. So if Randle got lucky and didnt get hurt, he could lead the league also. Just like a lot of guys could. His all world year was a fluke. A fluke in carries, a fluke in staying healthy, and combine both of those flukes with having the best blocking line in football and an offense with Romo and Dez and Witten in the passing game.

Chip Kelly even admitted that Murray has an injury history so he had to hedge his bet by signing Ryan Mathews to team up with him.

Yep. I said that. I based this off all the reports out of training camp that they have been exploiting the holes for big gains. Randle has been doing it all camp minus a couple of days, and McFadden has been doing the last couple of days he's been practicing. Every beat writer out there has been commenting on how great they both look.
And I know most people will choose to overlook what Randle has done for us in limited chances, but his college performance is undeniable.
And I'm not ready to give up on McFadden bc he's been stuck on one of the sorriest teams of the last decade. The guy was once touted as the next Bo Jackson, so I'll give him a chance to run behind an OL that the oft-injured Murray had the "honor" to run behind too.

All reports out of training camp? He just got back to practice two days ago for the first time in the off season. What are you smoking buddy?

Luck, yes he had injury early on in his career, broken ankle and a sprained MCL outside of that in dating back to 2012 he has played in 35 out of 37 games.
Games he played his avg was still very good. In 2013 he avg 80 yards a game putting up 9 TD and made the pro bowl, as a player he did not have the option to call his own number but when his number was called he did the job.

Fluke? BS you don't have a clue.

Awww..........did I hurt your feewings? :muttley:

Murray certainly rotted on the bench when Garrett was too much of a wuss to run the ball. But Murray lost me when he couldnt even handle the carries that he got getting hurt 3 years in a row. One fluke year does not equal a mega contract.

You can root for Murray all you want in Philly. "Fly Eagles Fly"

When you see certain players over the years who constantly are plagued by hamstring it is not hard to figure out. I don't say it as a knock on McFadden he is not out looking to have hamstring issue nor was Miles Austin. heck Austin changed his workouts, he diet all in an effort to prevent it yet it still continues to be an issue for him.

I think if McFadden can avoid the hamstring for the season he has a chance to do something positive right now that is what I'm hoping for.

I would give him an IV before all practices. Lack of hydration is now considered a significant issue with regards to those issues.

Miles Austin was reported to always be dehydrated for some reason.

ONLY 6 guys in NFL history have had more carries then Murray did in 2014. The last guy was Larry Johnson in 2006.

Ummmm...............Yah that's a fluke.

Facts are stubborn things.

I would agree that could be a factor. Hopefully Dallas training staff does that to lessen the risk for him

I was hoping to fly under the radar till the Eagles beat the Cowboys. I'd just earned permission to post new threads. My plan was to copy comments from another Cowboy fan page.
