man he was beat constantly today. Terrible job in pass protection.

I think it's some of both. He's basically a rookie and spent all last season rehabbing, and all of this off-season getting back into routine. He's probably in poor game shape and those were his first real NFL reps. He will most likely improve enough to be a swing tackle but never the replacement for Free as we all hoped.Wonder if its a conditioning thing or a mental thing. He's not a LT, this was said by every single draft scout. There is nothing to freak out over with this. Just him "playing well early" is great praise. The guy is built to play on the right side, he was out of position like Free was for many years.
