man he was beat constantly today. Terrible job in pass protection.

He makes too many mental mistakes and relies too much on using his body to block people.

I really worry if he becomes the swing tackle this season.

yea, the main talking point next week is gonna switch from Backup QB to Swing tackle, cause Chaz was downright horrible......

Agree.

He was ok early on and just got worse and worse.
Wonder if its a conditioning thing or a mental thing. Chemestry is big in OL play, and wonder if the switch from first to second team effected him

He's not a LT, this was said by every single draft scout. There is nothing to freak out over with this. Just him "playing well early" is great praise. The guy is built to play on the right side, he was out of position like Free was for many years.

I think it's some of both. He's basically a rookie and spent all last season rehabbing, and all of this off-season getting back into routine. He's probably in poor game shape and those were his first real NFL reps. He will most likely improve enough to be a swing tackle but never the replacement for Free as we all hoped.

Except Broaddus said he looked more comfortable and played better at LT in camp FWIW.

Anyways... With Free getting another year older I think it's safe to say that offensive tackle is becoming a position of need on draft day.

That was a really bad showing for Green. Although, I would say that clipping penalty was bogus. His movement laterally just isn't what it should be. With that said, being injured, he hasn't played much actual football the past two years; could be rust (let's hope). Maybe a move inside at OG is in order.

Poor guy hasn't played football since 2014. Give him a break. He was in there on a considerable amount of snaps against a good dline and more than held his own early. Definitely wasn't blown off the line like some rookies in their first series. Things did get tighter and slower and dumber but all 3 of those you can attribute to conditioning. Once he's up to speed and not playing fatigued and overthinking, he will be starting.
