Me during the Justin Herbert draft process. How do I do it?

How would you feel if this guy starts sliding and we move up to get him?

IMO this is the most talented QB in the draft... He just has never wow’d me like the other 2 but his talent and upside is off the charts..

Herbert looks like what a modern day QB is supposed to look like.

He can make every throw and is an athlete who can run.. It would not be shock me if he ends up as the best QB in this class.

This is the normal thing that occurs on this forum in game threads between two other NFL teams, there are often a few who use it to express their negative feelings about Dak. Especially after a Cowboys loss or Dak has a bad game. Which is the case right now. Often topics that have nothing to do with Dak, has a least one Anti-Dak or Dak bashing post in them.

I think we can be critical of a player while still realizing we are pretty fortunate to have found him in the 4th round. He does not have the ceiling of dudes with the natural physical tools like Herbert and Lawrence. However even though I do think that the contract is not a good value (I think closer to 30-32 million would have been realistic value), would we rather rejoin the quarterback carousel when we have a roster that is built to win now? I think signing him back was the best option we had given our position. Someone would have signed him for something very close to that price if we didn't.

I actually thought we should have franchised him another year.

Interesting. That's a move I hadn't heard many even consider at the time. We likely would have gotten a bit of a discount after that ankle injury. But assuming he stayed healthy last year I feel like we still would have ended up forking out a pretty big contract. For all the talk about Dak's contract, it is not nearly as bad as the Zeke contract. That contract is an absolute albatross given his production. GMs will never learn. No RB outside of like the 10 best of all time is work a huge second contract. Barkley is about to sign a monster with the Giants that will hamstring them for years.

Herbert isn’t even playing with their rookie starting LT.

And they were bottom of the league in attempts pretty much this whole season. They were 26th in attempts going into this game.

And now they’ve got the RG going this game. If SD gets better with the RG, it’s over.
