If Cromartie comes with some of the baggage that many assume he'll come with--lol, and he's mentaly slow as well--I'd probably have stay with our man Choice.Cover 2;3275698 said:I doubt he's smart enough to play safety. I would rather keep Choice as well, because I figure he will start seeing a huge increase in carries.
If Cromartie was as good of a corner as Choice is a runningback I would make that trade in a second. But he's not. Choice is the better player.DFWJC;3275846 said:If Cromartie comes with some of the baggage that many assume he'll come with--lol, and he's mentaly slow as well--I'd probably have stay with our man Choice.
Some here seem so set against taking a corner, period, if it involved parting with TC. I would disagree with those folks if we could get a guy like our very own Mike Jenkins. The argument that we already have two starting corners is weak because in today's league a 3rd corner gets a TON of snaps if he's top end...while a 3rd RB is usually rotting on the bench. Plus if there was, in theory, and excellent young corner available, that should fit our plans pretty well in the ocming years with Newman aging and Scandrick still kind of not there.
The football IQ comments by some here are out of line...unless they think Cromartie is just not very good (which may be true).
If Cromartie is as bad as you say, then this is a non-topic. I'm a Choice fan anyway, so keeping him certainly works for me.Cover 2;3275853 said:If Cromartie was as good of a corner as Choice is a runningback I would make that trade in a second. But he's not. Choice is the better player.

We like choice, just dont want to watch him sit the bench another year and then leave for nothing next year.
It's not that he's a bad player. It's that he has an attitude problem, and he's starting to get into trouble and become a distraction for the Chargers.DFWJC;3275894 said:I haven't watched Cromartie much in the past two seasons....are you sure he is really that bad?

Choice isn't leaving next year, Barber will. And Cromartie had one good year and has had problems ever since. He's not liked by the team and has been plagued with off the field distractions the last two years.
Teams don't trade 25 year old probowl CBs for backup running backs.

Coakleys Dad;3276048 said:dude, you’re a joke, you’re posts follow your agenda and don’t make sense at all, look around the zone, 90% of us cant be wrong regarding Choice, I know it must be hard that you cant reprogram everyone with your demeaning ignorant, belligerent posts. I don’t understand, if you are a cowboys fan and you have watched the games( which I doubt) I don’t see how you’d trade this guy for a guy who is not the same skill level but is a starter. I guess that’s your whole line of text...Cromartie is a starter and choice is a back up?? Hmmm, intelligent, and BTW your tissue joke and the moot point joke were awesome (not) maybe you should resort to comedy because your football knowledge and understanding is a joke too. BTW choice is my sig very good, and it’s not a crush, I just like to appreciate players that I think are good. I think you should go back and watch the two players last year head to head before you make all these ballsy comments, you make yourself look foolish.
:starspinThis was discussed a couple of days ago and is supposed to be just a rumor.... I think that it is a bad move if it were to be true.... Remember what choice did against the #1,2,3 defenses in the NFL in 2008, he got 99 yards against the Ravens... He and Jones should share carries through the game and put in Barber goal line and 4th quarter to pound or close out the game....The Dodger;3274694 said:This is discussed elsewhere, right? I'll just say what I said in another thread: from what I've read about Cromartie lately, the Chargers are sick of the guy, and it's apparently due to some attitude problems.
