With MB injured and playing subpar I wouldn't consider loosing one the the other two remaining backs.

I doubt he's smart enough to play safety. I would rather keep Choice as well, because I figure he will start seeing a huge increase in carries.
If Cromartie comes with some of the baggage that many assume he'll come with--lol, and he's mentaly slow as well--I'd probably have stay with our man Choice. :)

Some here seem so set against taking a corner, period, if it involved parting with TC. I would disagree with those folks if we could get a guy like our very own Mike Jenkins. The argument that we already have two starting corners is weak because in today's league a 3rd corner gets a TON of snaps if he's top end...while a 3rd RB is usually rotting on the bench. Plus if there was, in theory, and excellent young corner available, that should fit our plans pretty well in the ocming years with Newman aging and Scandrick still kind of not there.

Given that, the football IQ comments by some here are out of line...unless they think Cromartie is just not very good (which may be true). Then this rumor, possible, theoretical trade would not be too bright.

I would rather keep Choice and at the end of the year complain that he was underutilized than not have him and at the end of the year complain that Dallas needed one more competent running back on the team.

If Cromartie was as good of a corner as Choice is a runningback I would make that trade in a second. But he's not. Choice is the better player.

He wouldn't be able to beat out Newman or Jenkins, nor would he start at any of the safety spots. He might beat out Scandrick, but with the questions surrounding Barber, I wouldn't want to trade away Choice for a nickel back when Scandrick is solid at it (he still needs to improve though).

If Cromartie is as bad as you say, then this is a non-topic. I'm a Choice fan anyway, so keeping him certainly works for me.

I haven't watched Cromartie much in the past two seasons....are you sure he is really that bad?

I think the reason people are willing to part with an underutilized 3rd rb is because they dont think dallas will use him much this year either......Now if barber was cut today then it would be different. We like choice, just dont want to watch him sit the bench another year and then leave for nothing next year.

Choice isn't leaving next year, Barber will. And Cromartie had one good year and has had problems ever since. He's not liked by the team and has been plagued with off the field distractions the last two years.

Teams don't trade 25 year old probowl CBs for backup running backs.

It's not that he's a bad player. It's that he has an attitude problem, and he's starting to get into trouble and become a distraction for the Chargers.

dude, you’re a joke, you’re posts follow your agenda and don’t make sense at all, look around the zone, 90% of us cant be wrong regarding Choice, I know it must be hard that you cant reprogram everyone with your demeaning ignorant, belligerent posts. I don’t understand, if you are a cowboys fan and you have watched the games( which I doubt) I don’t see how you’d trade this guy for a guy who is not the same skill level but is a starter. I guess that’s your whole line of text...Cromartie is a starter and choice is a back up?? Hmmm, intelligent, and BTW your tissue joke and the moot point joke were awesome (not) maybe you should resort to comedy because your football knowledge and understanding is a joke too. BTW choice is my sig very good, and it’s not a crush, I just like to appreciate players that I think are good. I think you should go back and watch the two players last year head to head before you make all these ballsy comments, you make yourself look foolish.

The difference between you and I is that i dont have an agenda. I am not the one with a picture of my man crush on my sig. My agenda is for what is most likely to bring dallas a superbowl. Sorry it bothers you so much that i am not another follower that just lets dullards like yourself make up my opinions for me. I have not missed a single cowboys game in over 20 years. You get so upset if someone would trade your favorite player. It's not about the talent of Choice as us message board fans see it. Its not about the talent of Cromartie as we see it. It is about the faith we should put in the ability of the coaches to evaluate the talent of our players. If Choice was such an amazing player then he would get more than 5 carries per game out of the wildcat. It's not my evaluation of his talent. It is the coaches who work with him everyday. And based on what happened last season i dont see anything changing for the better of choice on this roster. I didnt see an increase in playing time towards the end of the season. What happened when Marion Barber was limping? Felix picked up the carries not Choice. i know you have a really hard time accepting it. It's amazing that you question the football knowledge of a person who would be willing to trade our 3rd RB for a guy that is 25 years old with a ProBowl under his belt. In addition he plays a position much more difficult to find talent in. RB's who carry the ball 5 times per game are a dime a dozen. You have fallen head over heels for a player that is the 3rd best at his position on our team and now you actually get so upset that everyone doesnt agree with your man crush that you choose to stalk each of my post. pathetic..

Again I like Choice. I think he is a competent player at this point. But as long as Barber and Felix are on this team Choice wont have a long future with the boys. Whether its trade or free agency. It's just the way it is. Give me some evidence that i am wrong.... Please... enlighten me. If Barber was cut, then i'm totally on board with choice staying. But until then i cant get behind your cause. And again why is that so difficult to understand?

And stop stalking me. Its weird.

This is discussed elsewhere, right? I'll just say what I said in another thread: from what I've read about Cromartie lately, the Chargers are sick of the guy, and it's apparently due to some attitude problems.
:starspinThis was discussed a couple of days ago and is supposed to be just a rumor.... I think that it is a bad move if it were to be true.... Remember what choice did against the #1,2,3 defenses in the NFL in 2008, he got 99 yards against the Ravens... He and Jones should share carries through the game and put in Barber goal line and 4th quarter to pound or close out the game....

Choice will remain on this team unless someone much bigger than Cromartie is offered in exchange. I think Barber would be gone if his cap hit would not hurt so bad right now IMHO.

I think choice is a starter on 2 dozen + teams in this league, but we are lucky to have him in case something happens to the other guys, and if I was coach, I would pull that trigger if it doesn't kill our cap.
I like Barber, but he has his limitations and I really think he hit his ceiling. I like what choice and Felix offers this team in potential and opportunities and to me that makes Barber the 3rd RB in my opinion.

and its a good thing I do not have a cowboy player in my sig because I may be accused of having some kind of crush on said particular player

* wait, i have 'Dallas Cowboys' in it, wonder if that means......... :scream:
