I wouldn't give up any picks for Watt. He just had 2 back surgeries too last year.. and plays a much more physical position than QB. No guarantee that he returns to anything like he used to be. Ya know the same argument that is used against Romo, who isn't worth a 7th round pick according to some here.

I don't see the big deal.

It's just CC giving his opinion. It's moot whether it's possible or not. He, like all of us have no control over what happens.

I'm hearing it so I thought I would pass it along.
He's back seeing the white lady, or he took so many hits his brain is swiss cheese, there is no way that happens, if I had a chance, I would say yes to that before the Texans could finish their offer

You have to remember something here. The Texans are more desperate than us. We are much further along than they are. All they really need is a QB. It's ready made for them and they no longer need JJ.
Even if Houston thought that Watt for Romo (plus any draft picks) was an equitable trade, I don't think they could take the cap hit. I don't know the specifics of what the hit would be, but I'm almost sure it would be significant. If I'm not mistaken, Watt is in the middle of a $108M dollar deal that had a significant guarantee. Then on top of that, they would have to take on Romo's contract. Even before all of that, Houston is up against the cap, from what I read. I simply can't see a way that deal would or could happen.

Based on this, the Texans would take a $20 million cap hit if they traded Watt. Add that to the $14 million cost for Romo, and the $19 million for Osweiler, and that's $53 million of their cap space.

That math doesn't add up to me.

Man, I just checked to see if Osweiler's contract is guaranteed for next year and it is. They will obviously cut him after 2017 and will only have 6MM in dead money after that, but wow did they screw up. Osweiler is going to take up 19 Million in cap space next year - fully guaranteed.
