I guess if you want you could call an enema a "butt job"...but I'd keep that to myself if I were you.

HA!

What a strange thing to say for someone in your shoes.

someone in my shoes? dude, I just post on here, I don't get off on being right and take things personal, like you do

at least not anymore, I found out that noone really gives a **** about how right or wrong you are, it's just the Internet

so noone cares if you're right all the time, which you aren't, you're actually pretty lame and are wrong often, and really, noone gives a flying flip if you made the most correct predictions on your mock draft last year, stop living through the Internet

Look, kid. I point out my opinion. You don't seem to like that and it gets you all riled up. Sorry that it does that to you, but I couldn't really care less if it hurts your feelings.

Yes, someone in your shoes. You know, the 20-something waiter that has no career plans or education and posts incessantly on an internet message board. As they say about glass houses.

you don't get it, I don't care about the going-ons of the Internet, there is no emotion in my postings, that's your problem, you take everything on here like it's real life

it's not, you can insult all the people you want and proclaim your rightness all day long, at the end of the day, noone cares dude, you're a nameless person on the Internet

alot of people post often on here, it's called a hobby, we all like talking about the COwboys, that's not the issue here, it's you making the posting on here bigger than it is

noone is wondering what you're doing when they log-off of here, stop living through the Internet

it doesn't matter as much as how he stepped up his play

Maybe not to you. I'm pretty sure scouts look at all that stuff.

In the NFL numbers may mean more because every game, you're going against world class competition. But in college, with so many teams and such vast gulfs in level of competition between team and even individual positions, coaching schemes, lack of experience, etc... averages mean very little.

I'm sure they do, but they put more weight on some stats than others

:laugh2: the funniest part of all this, is I don't care, and have told you so, yet you continue to think that I do

and the reason that I'm now finally going back to school is that my legal issues are behind me now, and have the money to do it

I never said I didn't want him as a Cowboy. I just didn't want him taken in the 1st round. He might be the best left by our 2nd round pick, though.

so what does mean alot then?

I personally think (I can't say for sure, since I'm clearly not a scout) they take bits and pieces of what they see as well as characters.

Like I think they pull up a reel of tape and say, hey we want to look at what he does when there's no hole. They look through all of those plays and get something from that.

Or, hey let's see what he does when the game is already won. Does he lower his head and try to destroy guys still or is he going through the motions.

Or what he does when a play goes wrong, does he improvise? Give up? Point fingers?

Stuff like that. They don't really care how many yards he gained on the play because that could be a product of everything from line play, the team on the other side, the scheme, and so on.

Now, if a guy constantly gets bullied on short yard situations. Or has a habit of ouncing one way, that'll all come up in that tape study.

I think all stats do is put you on the radar of scouts, after that it's about HOW you do it, not WHAT you're doing. If that makes any sense.

I think as fans since all we know of most of these guys is numbers, we tend to lean too heavily on that when we're looking for guys we like.
