Chryst gone to UT?

How is it not a lateral move? Going from the Wisconsin OC to the Texas OC is a lateral move; it's the same position.

A lateral move in respect of the word but the position is worlds apart. Going to Texas is a great career move.

Just found this right now:

OB just spoke with Chryst at the Austin airport. Described visit to Texas as a good one, but had no comment on whether he had taken job.

There are some coming in that would fit, Brown and Bergeron are good fits. But players who would play next year not so much for the most part. I just think it usually is tying one hand behind your back in the college game. Now it being part of the offense is fine. That's why I like Harsin they can do whatever they want based on the situation. Course, Chryst slung it around more when he was at Oregon State so who knows exactly what his offense would look like.

Hopefully the offense will be determined by the players we have. Not like this year where Mack was determined to run the ball with average RBs. Play to our strength not trying to make a certain preordained offense.

There are rumors circulating that Texas will hire Chryst as OC, Bostad OL, Davis DT and Fangio as DC.

Now, all of these guys are excellent hires if true but let me tell you, Fangio is a guy that would be very, very interesting. He's a Pro DC. He started in the USFL with the Stars and moved on to the NFL. He's coached in New Orleans during the great Mills, Jackson, Vaughn, Swilling years. He's been with Carolina when they had Mills, Green and Lathon. He was with the expansion Texans and he was with Baltimore from 06 to 09. This guy is a 34 coach who has had GREAT success in the NFL. If the Horns get him, it will be very interesting to see if they go to the 34 but more importantly, he will be succesful. However, he could be an excellent get for the Cowboys if he were interested in coming back to the NFL.

If Harbaugh goes to the NFL, you can bet Fangio will be going with him.

Supposedly Neuheisel wants Fangio too.

Couple of the Boards were reporting that he was in Texas but I don't know. If he was, it might be assumed that it's for the Texas job but it could be something else, assuming he is actually here. I don't know.

oh okay...I see you a prince fan. I think he will mostlikely be there at our pick unless he tears up the combine and peterson doesn't. I just don't know if we should be going CB but i guess we should because newman is declining and we do not need to wait till the last minute to draft his replacement. But we still need to find a safety and O-lineman in FA and draft.

No press conference for a Paul Chryst hiring ... he's back in Madison. Perhaps waiting for Garrett to get Cowboys job.

Good news. Likely tommorow Garrett will be named the HC and hopefully we can interview Chryst before the end of the week.

I think Chryst goes for the best paycheck and Jerry will win that battle.

Well Jerry will have to pay him for than $1 million a year because that's what Texas offered him to be their OC.

The Cowboys Offensive Line coach makes that much.

There are reports flying around that Bryan Harsin is on a plane, headed to Austin, right now.

I don't know what this means but it could mean that Chryst has decided to joing the Cowboys. Who really knows?

Chryst just interviewed for PITT HC.

My prediction:

HC Garrett
OC Sparano
DC Bowles

According to Rivals Report this morning (Sirus) Pitt is leaning towards Tom Bradley of Penn State.
