I'm not really sure what we're doing this offseason... letting half of our team walk away and not replacing anyone

Stephen Jones already told you the blueprint, we are going to replace the players we lose through the draft.

I don't necessarily agree with this line of thinking, but it is what it is.

Time to move on. He was average. Which isn't bad. Just average.

Heath is 6'1" and weighs 212. Sounds like a good sized safety to me! Wilcox is 6'0" and 216. Church is 6'2" and 218. You're wringing your hands over 4-6 pounds? Come on, bruh.
I meant more like he plays small. He gets run over a lot of the time. Thats all i meant.

Agreed. How many easy picks did he drop?
At least he was in the position to make them. Some of you better be careful what you ask for, just because some of these players weren't to your standards doesn't mean the next guy is an automatic upgrade. No one is foing to have a team full of pro bowlers.

And his replacement (whoever) most likely will be below average. No one in free agency is an upgrade (if we sign anyone) or in the draft (which is an unknown).

You have to admit he makes plays too. He has a nose for the ball and he lays a hit when given the opportunity. He's certainly
improved over the last couple of years and beggars can't be choosy when two of your guys leave in FA.

I completely agree. He is the reason we were in that game against Green Bay, minus the worst PI call ive ever seen we win that game off of his second pick

Its never been the blueprint to lose half a dozen starters and expect to hit on every draft pick as a rookie replacement.

I think we will take another safety somewhere in the draft but, certainly not in the first 3 rounds. We have obvious needs on the
defense though. In a couple of weeks we'll see if there are any decent safeties in the bargain basement trash bin. McClay
always has a list.

Kind of depends on the money he's looking for. Cowboys won't be shopper till the end of next week most likely so
will have to see if he's still available.

I wouldn't be upset with a Cyprien or Swearinger on a decent deal. Draft a S possibly as well.

the reason the cowboys are not signing any free agents much is because they are pretty much broke under the cap regardless of what Stephen jones says

church was a good solid player, made a lot of tackles, I think they should have kept him.
If he wasnt solid other teams would not be wanting him.

To their credit....... it's the exact same off-season they had last year.....didn't hurt them.

Church, Calais, and possibly Bouye too. What those fools need to be doing is finding a QB because Bortles sucks.

So interesting how many teams are interested in the players from what is generally considered the underachieving side of the ball. Then again, the secondary did play well for the most part, so may not as surprising.
