Laufenberg just let that be known a minute ago on the score.

I will put the video up of him saying it later or tomorrow morning.

pretty interesting they would give a 1 for him.

It's an interesting offer, mostly because I'm not quite sure what Bennett's upside is right now.

He can be so many different things.

With the way they are playing no thanks, bennett is still too valuable behind j-witt dog.

I think he has to much talent/potential to trade away. Not to mention hes huge and athletic and pretty sure no defender can cover him one on one

tough one

the upside is definitely there, and he could be a terror for the rest of the league with his combination of size, speed and athleticism, not to mention physical play

but so far it's gone unfulfilled

he's still growing, so...

That may be true but by the time he learns the play book he will be getting social security.

Think about it guys, two 1st rounders equals big money that the boys can't afford right now. Ware's deal and Austin's extension/new contract are gonna eat the cap alive.

Not enough... We payed a 2nd for him and hes grooming under Jasom Whinton.

Bengals are 5-2 -> projecting late first and who knows about next years draft and draft pick value

If that's the case I would have traded him. I thought that Jerry said it was for a player that could contribute this year though.

If the Bengals were 2-5 instead of 5-2, I would consider that trade. However, we really have no weapons in the passing game beyond Austin and Witten. Bennett is a big part of our running game, although he doesn't get as many downfield blocks as RW11....

I'd of done that. This will be a deep draft. I like Marty B alot but this O Line needs cant miss LT.

I heard it was Chris Henry and a 4th for Bennett, not a first rounder.

Well, on the surface I'd say do it. That said would you trade Bennett for Bobby Carpenter, Marcus Spears, etc? I just don't know that I trust us to do anything w/ that pick. Plus, he'd be much more expensive than Bennett.

Wow, that's a tough call.

Given that they are 5-2, and how much we like to run out of the 2 TE package.... it'd change the scope of our offense. A lot. And in mid-season, we wouldn't have training camp/preseason to adjust.
