OK I guess it has to be classified as a rumor so here goes....

I have a client in Cincinnati who has a close relationship with a few folks in the Bengals organization. They play golf about once a week but they haven't done so in the past two weeks because they were obviously busy. Anyway, I talked to him this morning and he had some interesting tidbit about CJ...

Apparently the Bengals turned down the Skins offer to trade because they want to make CJ sweat. They don't want to give into any demands of a player.

But the tidbit is this...my client said that the possibility of trading CJ will increase DRAMATICALLY (his words) when training camp rolls around.

They have taken an unofficial poll of the players and most of them want CJ gone because of the potential distraction this will cause.

He didn't say the guy gave him any indication of which team they may trade with but he said that when, not if, they trade CJ he won't need his mittens anymore.

So FWIW, that is what I heard this morning.

I'm just the messenger.

Dunno if it will be the Skins anymore.

Moss, Randle El, Thomas, Kelly.......and Chad Johnson?

Do they really want to trade a 1st plus other picks AFTER they invested 2 2nd rounders in thomas and Kelly....and a 2nd in Davis?

it will be Skins

The Skins just drafted 2 WRs early in the draft, D Thomas and Kelly. Plus they just drafted a pass catching TE. And after the Draft, they said they no longer have any interest in CJ (since they drafted heavily for the position).

I am not sure how much of that is true, but I did watch that piece on "The Best Damn Sports Show" whre CJ basically said that if it's Dallas, the only question is on which finger does he want the ring.

It will interesting to follow this story as it unfolds especially as the TC and pre-season gets closer. I hope Dallas doesn't get him, but that is just me.

With the Eagles having two 1sts next year, would they trade one for a WR that causes problems with the organization and players? Deja Vu all over again? Hmmmm

If I'm Cincy, I'd trade him to the worst team that makes a reasonable offer for him.

Making him such a 'lovely' fit as a consequence, for the boys

Valley Ranch is starting to look like a halfway house for problem players

no one in the nfc east would surprise me.

skins - -little danny snyder collects wide receivers like postage stamps
dallas -- to replace glenn (but somehow i don't want him)
iggles/NY -- so they have a WR

You can't run an organization and make trades out of spite. You can trade a player who doesn't want to be there for the best possible players/picks, but not specifically to a team who is bad because their bad and get nothing in return.

I was thinking the same thing. When teams have players in trouble, probably the first person they call is Jerry.

If Chris Henry wouldn't have gotten into his latest problem, they would be shopping him to Dallas right now.

By not needing "mittens", do they mean a warm weather site? Dallas gets a little chilly at times, but he would actually need mittens in both Washington and Philly.

I did...Disappointing but par for the course, as they say, for the season...No Ronnie, no fun, for me.

Barca disappointed all season, for me...That much ballyhooed HERM formation of Henry, Eto'O, Ronaldinho and Messi never materialized for even one match...Rijkaard was simply too stubborn to make any adjustments but let's call it what it is, Barca is the more superior side...I won't buy any ManYoo arguments that they were better...Sometimes tactics win out, like United playing anti-football and sitting 10 on the ball at the Nou Camp...There's always next year.

That being said, could be a good Final between Chelsea and ManYoo

I will only believe this rumor if you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night.
