Dunno if it will be the Skins anymore.

Moss, Randle El, Thomas, Kelly.......and Chad Johnson?

Do they really want to trade a 1st plus other picks AFTER they invested 2 2nd rounders in thomas and Kelly....and a 2nd in Davis?

Yeah, drafting Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas to be their future at W.R., the Skins are OUT of the running for CJ, it made snese before the draft and makes NO SENSE AT ALL after the draft.
Why give up more future picks to have a 30 year old W.R. AND hinder the progress of Devin THomas AND Malcolm Kelly in the progress?

I see NO WAY IN HELL that CJ can play for the Bengals this year, it's like T.O. in Philly when he left, there's NO WAY ON EARTH he's a bengal this year, so my guess is we offer a 1st/3rd/4th for him and get him!
That way we get Chad Johnson and SILL have 2nd/3rd/4th round picks in next years draft also.
Basically we'd only be losing our 1st round pick since we got the extra 3rd and 4th in trades this year.

I sure as hell don't want to fork over what the Skins were offering.

You wouldn't give up a 1st and 3rd to make our offense UNSTOPPABLE?????
Which our picks in those round are gonna be the 32nd pick which is like giving up an early 2nd and an early 4th rounder.

San Diego might be another option. They still need a dynamic WR.

Well they did trade for Chris Chambers last year and like Jackson as their #2 guy.

I did...Disappointing but par for the course, as they say, for the season...No Ronnie, no fun, for me.

Barca disappointed all season, for me...That much ballyhooed HERM formation of Henry, Eto'O, Ronaldinho and Messi never materialized for even one match...Rijkaard was simply too stubborn to make any adjustments but let's call it what it is, Barca is the more superior side...I won't buy any ManYoo arguments that they were better...Sometimes tactics win out, like United playing anti-football and sitting 10 on the ball at the Nou Camp...There's always next year.

That being said, could be a good Final between Chelsea and ManYoo
Dude, everyone knew that Barca coudn't score. They have been held scoreless in like 3 or 4 matches. Everyone knew what Rijkaard formation and tactics are and he ran out of new things. Truth be told, Ronnie's situation didn't help, but suposedly he is one of the best coaches around.

You make the mistake of thinking that the Commanders would use your logic.

I believe him to be a good manager but a lousy tactician...Clearly, Ten Cate's absence has been felt as the technician for Barca...They rarely made the right sub and never adjusted their formation to take advantage of the other side's tactics...They simply maintained 65-70 percent possession and let other clubs play the counter...Very passive attacks this season...A new manager will right things, IMHO

A good manger indeed, but a stagnant one as well. He never coudn't get himself to emphasize on defense and was all about "beautiful play" and scoring. Once that was gone, teams like Betis could rally back and score 3 on his D.

I am sure Chelsea and Abrahimovic would take him in hear beat, but I am not sure if he would be a good fit in the PL.

Now Barca has to look for new players, maybe C Ronaldo, Drogba, Berbatov...etc. New blood will help for sure.

You think BP would put up with his crap?

We saw how he handled "the player."

Yeah I could just imagine any kind of dealing with the media...

I guess he can be had. But is Jerry willing to ante up two first-round picks? At this point I don't think he'll be traded. His value was at its highest before the draft.

Well, the joga bonito is a Catalan thing, not really a Rijkaard thing, tbh...But, stagnant wouldn't accurately describe him as a manager, he simply is conservative and not creative in terms of formations...His strengths lie within being focused and his calm personality...New blood in terms of a manager, will be key...Rumours are Laudrup and Guardiola are high on the list (As long as Mourinho isn't a possibility).

I don't know about wholesale changes...I never liked the Henry signing over a more natural poacher like Klose as he needs to be on the ball more...Would be disappointed to see Ronnie go but all good things come to an end and I'd rather see him regain his form then have him suffer at Barca...Doubtful on Ronaldo, Drogba or Berbatov...Zambrotta and Thuram are surely out and Lahm is allegedly 'in the fold' already...I had hoped for Modric but Spurs beat everyone to the punch...Would love to see Karim Benzema get signed...An attacking midfielder and a pure striker/poacher would be fine, IMHO.

Agreed.

As if they don't already, how foolish would the Bengals look to trade Chad Johnson after the draft, for less than what Washington had offered?

And I think it's a given that none of us would want to pony up two #1 draft choices for this guy and then have to give him a big raise.

This sounds questionable as he would have been more valuble to to trade him before the draft. If the Bengals are that stupid (and by them again drafting players with character issues this year they probably are) then whoever is running the show needs to be canned and the owner needs to sell the team.

The Skins just drafted 2 WRs early in the draft, D Thomas and Kelly. Plus they just drafted a pass catching TE. And after the Draft, they said they no longer have any interest in CJ (since they drafted heavily for the position).

I'm sure the Skins would give up all three of their second round (pass catcher) picks plus some other fluff for CJ.

Of course they will be interested in trading...AFTER JUNE 1st. There was no way on earth they were going to move him before that and take the cap hit.

you don't draft the top 2 WRs in the draft (by some) and a TE to then go spend big bucks on a vet. the skins solved their WR problem. they're done.

leaves us and the eagles. i almost hope the eagles win cause i don't like johnson, but i've lived through worse on this team.

Don't forget you're talking about a team who spent a 3rd and 4th trading for TJ Duckett. They've done plenty of "WTH?" moves in recent memory.

:D

On a serious note..... they (Wash) would be dumber than I thought if they traded for CJ. I think Philly is the most likely landing place, if he's traded.
