Well to be fair, it's really only been the Steelers game and one play to desean that he muffed. Agreed his play has suffered (as to be expected) but he's definitely been good overall.

No, you called me a know it all but that's ok. I have reasonable thick skin so I'm ok with it. Really. I don't say as much professionally anymore as it appears most don't pay attention to it.

A lot of the fans here their own air-tight logical systems. Works a bit like this:
1. I want him back
2. We need him back

There are maybe a handful of cornerbacks in the entire league who aren't going to give up some huge plays. Remove all pass rush and I'm not sure there are any such corners.

There is a contingent of fans that think any cornerback who doesn't shut his guy down like Deion is a worthless piece of crap. Carr isn't all-pro but he's a very decent all-around cornerback.

Sure. But Desean has embarrassed a lot of guys over the years--including some really good corners. Brown had a breakdown in fundamentals that play but he's been quite solid overall.

Brown will be a player for us if he wants it. He has the physical tools. Only two plays last game bothered me. The Desean bomb and the play to the Commander wr who came back to the ball on the sideline when Cousins threw it with the sun in his face. Should've been picked, he just threw it up in typical Cousins fashion

I agree that the Jackson TD was a lapse by Brown, but overall he has played as well as many first rounders have, and we got him in the 6th round. Bash on him for being a late round pick if you want, but so far he has soundly surpassed expectations for a rookie drafted in any round (except maybe a top 10 pick). He is a big reason why we are 10 and 1.

If MO can get a couple games in before the playoffs to regain his pre-injury form, that is huge. Brown has a been a great revelation and has proved hes got a future, but he's just not there right now. He lack's consistency. I'd be more comfortable with him and Scandrick splitting time since its obvious Scandrick hasn't been able to regain his pre-injury form. Plus, with Church back as well, Brown would be a valuable asset in Dime packages.

The defense that we saw prior to the Church and Mo injuries is the defense Dallas can live with in the playoffs.

There are far more passes completed on him than he breaks up. He is a good tackler, but we aren't paying him that much money to just tackle. We paid him to be a shutdown cornerback.
