Both Mo and TWill suffer from a lack of physicality IMO. They do okay until their opposition starts stretching the rules with picks or excessive contact.

Cornerbacks: Tim Jennings, Buccaneers (-6.1) and Morris Claiborne, Cowboys (-4.8)

Jennings was targeted 10 times, and allowed seven catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Not a great day at the office for him. He also missed two tackles and had a pass interference penalty. Claiborne was targeted far less, only four times. But, he allowed all four to be completed, and even worse, allowed 80 yards after the catch. When your average catch allowed goes for 30 yards, you definitely didn’t have a great day.

heh I warned everyone not to jump on his bandwagon too quickly. I was told I didn't know what I was talking about. :muttley:

Claiborne has been better this year. Sunday was his weakest work of the season, prior to that he was actually a bright spot. Just remember regarding PFF grades, Aaron Rodgers performance against the Chiefs a few weeks back, 24-35-333-5-0, warranted a negative grade from PFF.

I dont understand! Wasnt this supposed to be our 10 mil. dollar per year corner who single handedly shut the two best receivers in the NFL in Odell Beckham and Julio Jones down?

Yeah, he could help himself if he stopped sucking so much.

Face it Mo is what he is. DEPTH. Not a starter, not a nickel. DEPTH. He's too injury prone and simply not good enough to be a reliable starting corner in the NFL.

That is the play that most likely killed his stat. But man Mo ankles getting broke like that doesn't look good.

People actually take PFF seriously?

Bunch of big fat phonies over there

I am no Claiborne fan, but I am not going to jump on him because some bean counters assure everyone that he was the absolute worst last week.

Geez, the guy fell down. From what I've seen this year he's drastically better than his previous years. Give the guy a break. #23 got burned on the pick more than once. If you want to complain about something, start with the safeties who can't tackle in the open field. Do you even see Wilcox in that clip? No, because he's 20 yards deep positioning himself to wiff on the tackle.

No, I'm just here to make you feel bad. I will not pat myself on the back until you cry. I can feel that coming sooner rather than later. Go ahead. We will wait.

Well this is predictable. People in here jumping on the "see I told you he sucks" posts. Besides the play where he slipped I bet he was picked on every one of those plays. He's been above average at worst this season and people can't even admit that. Says much more about anyone eho can't admit that than it ever could about him.

Well said. I am no fan of Mo', but he has been far from bad this season.

Yes. It's easy to say Claiborne's man caught the ball so he gets a bad grade for it, but he only had a few plays where his coverage was the issue. He was picked by Amendola on the other big play he surrendered. That's a scheme issue and illegal play issue, not a Claiborne issue.

People build up an opinion about a player and refuse to believe it when that opinion is no longer valid. I bet there are still some on here who think Chris Jones sucks as a punter, Romo is an average QB, etc. Once some make up their mind, they can only see the bad.

I'll admit. I did point and laugh when he tripped over his 3rd foot on that one play. Outside of that, he has been pretty solid this season. Although he clearly didn't play well against the Pats, if you factor in his overall play this year, he is playing well enough to obtain that coveted second contract. Funny how that works... Most of today's professionals elevate their play in a contract year. That scent of money can be smelled from a mile away.

I think health and being a slow learner have affected Claiborne's development more than the scent of money. Sure, he wants another contract and a big one at that, but his career has been hampered up to this point. If he can remain healthy, we should be able to really see what he can do, good and/or bad.

He's actually been pretty good, but i'm not dishing out a big contract for him. I'd rather give that to Hardy.
