how they use to play him they've always had him in the inside and Mo and Carr on the outside.

Do you remember after the St. Louis game in 2014 when Mo was demoted and walked out of the complex for a day missing practice? That was because they had moved Scandrick to his spot and Mo to the bench (ie when only two CB's were on the field, it was Carr and Scandrick).

When the opposing team put in 3 WR's, they brought Mo in off the bench and put him back in his normal RCB spot on the outside and moved Scandrick inside to cover the slot. Orlando was in on every snap. Outside in the base and in the slot in the nickle/dime packages.

Mo only came in when teams used 3 or more WR's.

Presumably, that is still the case. Carr and Scandrick in 2 receiver sets... Mo, Carr and Scandrick in 3 or more receiver sets.

X was asking if anyone thought Mo is a better corner and deserves to be in the game regardless of package with Carr coming off the bench in 3 WR sets.

X assumed Scandrick is going to always be in because Orlando is not only the best corner on the team... but everyone in the Cowboys organization and around the entire NFL know that he is the best corner on the team. So, I'd say X was correct in his assumption that the question didn't need to be asked about OS.

So really, it is just as simple as should Carr come in off the bench or should Mo?

If coaches mindset is anything along the lines of what have you done for me lately, it should be Carr and Oscan.

If that is the logic the Coaches use ("what have you done for me lately"), then based off of 2016 Training Camp and preseason games it should be a question of "Carr OR OScan" not "Carr and OScan". They would be asking who starts next to Mo Claiborne.

Thanks for the help.

Cowboys depth chart has Oscan as the third CB. I understand he is our best CB according to most. In previous years he was considered our slot or third corner and rarely covered outside. I think that there was some talk about getting Oscan more action outside, but this depth chart kinda supports the opposite. Why wouldn't they just put Oscan as first string at left or right corner

To answer your question - it will be Oscan and Carr to start the season. IF Claiborne can keep his confidence up, he will take the job off Carr this year.
Of course in nickel all 3 play.

That depth chart has Ed Eagan on it.

The depth chart on the Cowboys site is rarely if ever accurate.
