Dallas will have tons of money under the cap this offseason and Jerry Jones doesn't let any FA leave that he wants to keep. The only FA that really left without an offer was DeMarco. That was because Jerry thought he could get 70% of the production from DMC for 10% of the money - and he was right.

Yeah I don't see him letting Mo walk at all, this is a premium position we are talking about. Not like its easy to find a good corner, and we have quite a few all of sudden right now......we can't give up that advantage.

Keep who we got back there at CB, and add to the rest of the D......if we want a ring that is. CB is by far our best unit on D to date this season, who would've thought that at the beginning of the season. Keeping them together is really the only option in my mind, cause we have so many other holes on D.

I'd even be fine with cutting Oscan and keeping Carr. Carr has never missed a game I don't think. We will either keep Carr or Oscan and draft a replacement for the other. I cannot see us letting our best corner walk then having to use another 1st when we can get a dlineman. Not only that Mclain isn't coming back. We can get a corner in the 2nd or 3rd and be just fine

Trade them both, their money should go to Mo.

Don't know if he's playing the best, but he flashed big time potential in 2014 and 2015. And I used to call him the biggest bust in team history.

Deion Sanders has a completely different take on why Claiborne's thriving.

He says Mo switching sides has helped him tremendously, because Mo naturally and habitually steps forward with his right foot at the snap.

On the left side, that means he can easily open his hips to the outside and run with the WR. But when he was on the right side, it was much tougher to open his hips to the sideline.

I saw that on NFL network too. Deion also said Mo was more susceptible to getting injured on the right side due to the same reason.

This is the kind of signing I will hate when we actually make it. I understand that we can't very well just let him walk when he's actually starting to play like his draft position and we need to invest some actual funds on the defensive side of the ball, but man, this just has regret within 2 years written all over it.

I have no clue who this dude is, but I like the way he's balling.

The old 24 looked lost out there at times. Not sure if it just finally clicked or if the injuries that he had affected his performance.

And did our coaching staff not know this? :(

The bizarre part of this to me is that they signed Carr to a big contract and then promptly moved him to the left side instead of leaving him where he'd been tearing it up in KC. Carr and Claiborne swapped sides this preseason and are having their best seasons as Cowboys. Coincidence? I don't think so. But I think there's more to it than just position change. Church is playing solidly. Wilcox is having his best year as a pro. Brown is playing spectacularly in the slot and Jones is becoming one of the best safeties in the league. Better safety play makes the job easier for corners and vice versa, so I think we're kind of looking at a perfect storm. That screams GREAT COACHING to me.

Holy crap, I would not have guess this in the offseason. The best I thought we could hope for was Mo becoming a decent corner. Looks like he was worth moving up for in the draft after all. We gotta keep this guy.

If he continues to play like this for the duration of the season, I'm all for paying the man. There's a long way to go though. This is coming from admittedly the biggest MO critic on the board. I'm making baby steps.

He has gained some muscle and confidence.
He was a skinny kid when he showed up here.

IF Mo keeps this up, Dallas will have a tough decision to make.

With all do respect, Lake, no they won't.

It'll be a very easy decision to make and a moronic move to let him walk and let it bite us ala TNew. We take the risk, if it bites us, it does. Dude is balling, lock him up now like others have said, before he gets his Pro Bowl. He's getting a lot of exposure from his play in the media, and if he keeps it up, it's a very viable reality that he could make the squad (Pro Bowl).

Sign him now at 5x7.5-8.0 (15-18 guar). A very fair contract for the dude, and load it with as many performance/injury incentives as we can.

He is finally who we thought he was :)

Claiborne should stay next year on a reduced contract to make up for the past performance drops and be thankful the Cowboys kept him and gave hime a third or forth chance. How much money does one really need in life ? He has the opp to play with some great peers and finally enjoy some harmony in football. I'd take that over a big contract with a losing team.
