Mo for Suh
Mo for Vince Wilford
Mo for BJ Raji

I'll trade him for someone any one that can start for us on defense.

Personally, I think it would be best for all parties if they traded him and got maybe a 2nd or more likely a 3rd for him. This would give him a new start and we would be able to move on with some change in our pockets. Better than letting him play like this for us until his contract runs out and then get nothing for him.

Hmmmm...Yeah I don't see him being cut. I'd be completely shocked by that. I'm not sure what this franchise has done in the last 20 years to make anyone think they'd actually cut an underachieving first round corner.

Many different opinions regarding Claiborne, and I can see and understand the reasons. But I do not dislike him either. And I find it interesting with all the variations of comments about him. as I said before, Matt Johnson is gone, Rolando McClain is proving he's the real deal. So guess people need a player to whine about.

This is not the time to all of a sudden change it all up. Rather Moore or Patmon. If either was to be starting, they would have tried this in TC. Well, they did play a lot in TC. But the coaches did not feel they shown enough to start over Mo. It is as simple as that. This conspiracy crap of playing / starting him because of his draft status, I'm not buying that.
If he gives the team a better chance to win, then I believe that's why he is in there. Maybe the INT gives him confidense, to play more aggressive, get back to where he was coming out of college. Stop thinking so much and just play.
I'll give him the Saints game to see, but any CB against the Saints can look bad on any day.

Oh, and my opinion is not any more right or wrong than any others. That's why we post, we are not there watching practice and film day in and day out.

I agree up to a point, I do think guys can earn jobs during the week if they start showing better ability than someone who is starting. I would love nothing more than to see Claiborne come out this week and have a big game, I think he will get a chance to do so but if he fails I don't think it is out of the question to make a change if the coaches feel someone else is showing more during the week.

Mo misses every training camp AND he seems to be a slow learner,,, which is a horrible combination. He's also on his 3rd or 4th defensive coach.

It would be nice to give him an extremely narrow role that he can understand and play with confidence until he's able to learn Marinelli's schemes, but I don't know if he's capable of that.

Yes, agree. I think if he's ok, not great, but not bad, he gets a few more games. If he stinks it up, then yes, I can see a change.

I think some has to do with what coaches see through out the week. If Moore is going out there during the week and impressing the coaches he could get a chance. He made the most of the opportunity he had early on when Scandrick was out. Us as fans we want to see thus you see comment we need to see this guy play, for coaches they see these guys through out the week they are not putting guys out there on a whim. No doubt practice is not the same as games but practice does give coaches a better insight to where a player is

No way I cut him during the season.

Washington and Philly are both in need of help at CB, probably NY as well. He'd be signed by a rival, and he'd find a way to haunt Romo and us.

I don't really dislike Mo or really like him a lot either. He is what he is.

But I'm not sure why anyone is making such a big deal about the INT.
He just happened to be there. If the pass had not been thrown so high, it would have been a completed pass.
The catch itself was ok, but nothing special.

Just a few short years ago, I could not have imagined that threads like this would exist today with this kid. There were few doubters when the Cowboys made that pick. The biggest beef was what we gave up to get him. I don't recall anyone doubting where he was drafted.

I imagined having arguments about how much money it's going to cost to keep him when his rook contract runs out, not whether he is going to get cut before his contract runs out.

I remember being pretty shocked and then pretty pumped about the pick. I thought he was finally an answer to a pretty pathetic secondary at the time.

The amazing NFL, you never know.

If Oakland fires Allen and whoever takes over drafts Moriata or Winston, Id give them a call and see if they would trade Carr for Mo amd a 4th

It comes with high expectations. I don't expect Dallas to cut Mo, as far as contract go I don't see Dallas paying big money to him either. Right now only thing I want to see is him to get out there and make plays I know he has the talent to play better than he has.

I was watching ESPN earlier this morning and saw a snip-it from ESPN (Dallas) that read something like this -- Garrett: Claiborne status up in the air.

The reference was to Mo starting. Here is the current poll question results.

Should Jason Garrett bench Morris Claiborne?

  • 81% Yes
  • 19% No

Trade our 1st Round bust of a CB for one of the best DTs in the NFL?

Brilliant!

If JJ doesn't do something quick the whole league will know the guy is a bust. The only reason I mention SUH is due to the fact there was a lot of rumors stating Detroit wish to move on with him.

The defensive scheme we're playing requires a physical CB that is willing to make tough tackles and plenty of them. That doesn't seem to fit Claiborne's capabilities altogether too well. Sterling Moore is substantially more physical in that regard than Claiborne and appears to be at least his equal or better in pass coverage. It it were my decision right now, I'd be seriously considering replacing Mo with Moore if things don't change very soon.

Because if he is the 4th CB he is an embarrassment to the front-office that spent the mother-load on drafting him and the coaching staff that failed to develop the best CB prospect to come out the NFL draft since Deion Sanders in 1989.

Ie, everybody at all levels of the organization becomes embarrassed of the massive failure and having to deal with the guy every day just reminds them (and the media) of that failure.

Failure has no downside for the Front Office here nor does embarrassment.
