Romo has the arm. He "gets" what touch, delivering catchable balls to receivers that are open and in stride means.......

And I'd much rather have a guy like this than a QB who just throws the ball hard. Leaf supposedly had great arm strength and look how far that took him.

Hos you have every right to your opinion and though I disagree with you on the Tony Romo issue I don't think you have to explain yourself for it. You are entitled to your agendas just like everyone else. :laugh2:
See, that's what you don't understand Jack. I am not entitled to my agendas. I should be since it is my word, but the truth is if I state something regarding QBs someone will take serious offense because it is by me.

BTW, it still cracks me up the way the word "agenda" has ruffled feathers here.

Seriously though...I took a lot of crap from people for exactly the opposite reason; I was not impressed by Henson. So I think it is safe to say that the board is pretty well polarized on this issue and there is nothing for it but to know that any opinion that either of us express on the issue will meet with criticism.
Of that I am sure.

Let me preface the rest of what I am about to say with this: Everything I saw wrong with Henson is correctable and I fully hope and expect to see him make the adjustments. Now own with the show.
If people think I am saying Henson has no flaws they are daft. Of course he did. I'm saying the ceiling on his potential is much higher. Not a little bit higher mind you, a lot higher.

Insult me again.

The entire forum will love it.

I'm still trying to figure this one out ...

I never insulted anyone ... rather, disagreed with the skewed facts you are attempting to present ...

I made a post stating that we shouldn't make it too personal ..

But it seems to me that this is a post threatening that you have friends in high/low places and that you might be suggesting that if I dare disagree wit you that I may be banned ... because you have "connections" ....

Let me know if I'm wrong though ... I didn't know having an opinion on a discussion board was a bannable offense ...

You dish it out as much as anyone else .. take it like a man or quit dishing it out. It's that easy.

Spare me the threats. I didn't insult squat. And get over yourself.

Tony Romo looks better in every aspect of the game ... THAT'S why I am rooting for him ...

I'll take what I see with my own two eyes over an ostrich with an agenda any day of the week and twice on Sundays ...

Hos, you're as transparent as they come right here ...
Why did I know you'd be the first person to take a shot?

That's transparency Ben.

Good post. I think Henson just needs time. He has the tools but no base of experience. He needs lots of reps to catch up and learn to run an nfl offense. He is mentally behind, not physically. Its simple math to me and expect the bombshell to drop next Monday. Romo is OUR Dallas Cowboy #2 QB.

I wish people would stop slinging around the term "agendas" like a reatarded monkey slinging poo. You can have an opinion on something without having an agenda

Hey Hos, you took the first shot by assuring us that Romo had a weak arm and your back-handed compliments ... the transparency YOU displayed in your post about being at the game was obvious ...

My opinion is that Henson played good too, but still needs work on making reads ... I was rather impressed with Henson though ... did you hear that? Henson just needs work mentally and he may be pretty good some day ... but not right now ...

My tune and negativity has changed since the season has begun ... I'm rooting for Henson ... but to see you try to devalue Romo by using an assesment from the stands during warm ups and on a conservative series of ball control-type plays leaves me with only one impression ... your agenda is bigger than you've ever admitted and the pot calling the kettle thing regarding agendas applies to you just as well as anyone else ...

Again, you being at the game doesn't give you any more insight than anyone else who bothered to watch the game ... you act like it does though ... this was a preseason game and you came away with the end-all-tell-all assesment of our QB's ...

Even I didn't jump the gun that much ...

Aren't you glad you clarified your position on Romo, Hos?
No, not at all. I had hopes it would lead to saner discussions. Can't have everything, where would you put it?

Thanks. I think it will take a performance of phenomenal proportions for Drew Henson to move past Romo on the depth chart at this point. But you would have to admit Henson played much better in the Cardinal game than you expected. I was bracing myself for a disaster based on all the negative press on him by the camp media.

Bledsoe didn't change my mind about him Saturday Nors...though I'm still reserving judgement. I'm astute enough to know it's early and the O-Line didn't hold up their end of the bargain while Bledsoe was in the game.

Agendas are not a bad thing. It cracks me up that it has become a taboo word here. Shows you the mentality. I will gladly admit to every agenda I have because they are nothing to be ashamed of.

Nope, nothing insulting there.

I can link ones where you call me ignorant, a fool, accuse me of lying, call me childish, now you are accusing a Mod of playing favorites.

That wasn't a shot, it was an opinion. Sorry that my having one puts your panties in a wad. Either you'll get over it or you won't.

Guess what? Every Fortune 500 company and every successful entreprenuer in the world has agendas. Those who fail to plan are planning to fail.

Do I have agendas? You bet. I won't hide from it. I certainly won't get all butt sore like a 4th grader over someone accusing me of one. Those who are offended by the word do not understand it. It's really that simple.

Was my report from the game an agenda? Nope. Just stating what I saw. Same with the other 2 guys. Our problem was we were honest about our disappointment. That was a mistake.

You're mad over that?

:laugh2:

Get real man ... that was just a joke ... man, BZ you are one sensitive guy ... seriously, I thought the Eddie Haskel remark about me was funny. It showed you have a sense of humor ...

But that guy digging a hole to bury his head is funny. I don't care who you are - that right thur is funny! :D

But like I said earlier, this isn't supposed to be personal ...

If things like that offend you that much, I'll save it for people like Hos who can take it ... just remember though, you are one of the guys who likes to joke a lot too ...

I just hope you can keep a lid on it as well as you'd like others too ... but history is not in your favor.

Carry on though ... I'll be sure to be gentle with you and try not to hurt you precious feelings ...

mmm'kay? :eek::

This is a discussion board. You sure can dish it but can't take it.

I respect MANY AND MOST posters here who I banter with. You are not in that group and candidly you need to stop whining and this "tattletale" mentality. If I didn't know better I'd think you ......... Well I won't pontificate - but you exude all you project in this post.

I'm over it, Hos ... I know we can disagree, joke around, state our argument, and still disagree and walk away cool with each other ...

Next time you go to a game with BZ though... teach him a lesson on how to take a joke and have a sense of humor ...

... or teach him that if you joke with people they're probably going to joke around back ...

... also tell him that being the butt of a joke can be just as funny as the one making it ...

Also - make sure he has a pen and paper handy so he can write this stuff down.

Take it easy, Hos.

I'm not offended - I just disagree. I've known you for a while and we've done quite a bit of that ... and we still co-exist ....

Have a good night - I'm out.
