Man of the people: Tony Romo continues to be popular off the field. The Cowboys starting quarterback has been selected to be a judge in the Miss Universe competition. He will have to go to Mexico for that assignment.

Romo has been quoted as saying that he likes Leonard Davis' chest....

Well, you can say countdown all you want, count me in as one who gets tired of seeing this stuff. It is obviously his business as to what he does with his off season and his free time in general, but I just think he likes the "perks" of being the Cowboys QB a little too early on the job. He isn't Dan Marino yet. I would much prefer that he be concentrating on football.

You realize he did his daily workout for the 'boys BEFORE trying to go qualify for the US Open.

I don't think he's slacking at all on his duties for the 'boys.

My guess is that Romo sees it as it being a tough job, but...somebody has to do it. (lol...)

i don't know if he's concentrating on football or not -- what I do know is that Romo is really embracing the celebrity lifestyle - i don't see anyone on the "player-friendly" coaching staff that is going to say boo to this. it isn't a concern yet but its getting there.

I am curious, when are football players allowed to do something other than eat sleep and breathe football? I mean damn, he will be down there for 5 days max....the man is allowed some personal time.

oh hell, on his ******* page people comment his photos saying carrie is why we lost - concentrate on football...

NO ONE IN HERE does their own job 24x7 and ONLY that job. as long as he's doing what he has to be doing for the cowboys, is ready to go when the season starts, and the front office isn't worried - why should we be?

some people LOVE to slap standards on others they'd NEVER want for themselves.

Regarding concentrating on football. If someone wants to show me evidence of any player in History who has been 100% focused on football I'd be more than a little interested in seeing it.

If you can show me that, I will also show you were that player is either divorced or not married, if he has kids he is paying child support, and he is probably very mal-adjusted to the real world.

No thank you very much.

I agree.

Call me a sourpuss too if you want, but it's not that he isn't living in an office at Valley Ranch -- that's not the point. Of course these guys need some down time. But it's almost as if he's already accomplished something. The truth is, he hasn't.

Not me, I am loving this. The Dallas Cowboys are America's Team, and it is only fitting for the quarterback to judge the Miss Universe pagent. Well, I guess it would have been more fitting for him to judge the Miss USA pagent, but you get the idea.

If we win a Superbowl with Tony, he's going to be a larger than life character in this town for a long time.

Are you serious? That's a once in a lifetime opportunity, only real celebs get to judge such a prestigious event! Romo will be ready for the 2007 season trust me.
