CMike over Dunbar

I'd trade all three of these running backs for 1 that can halfway play. If Michael has any ability whatsoever he needs to be on the field. At the expense of any of the three. They're all bums.

They're finally making good use of Dunbar now. To the point where teams have to account for him in the game-plan which is important.

How bout over Lucky or Butler?

This is my thinking. Dunbar should be viewed as a receiver who occasionally lines up at RB. So CMike can replace Dunbar and Dunbar over Whitehead and Butler. Makes sense seeing as how the coaching staff doesn't yet trust Lucky to return punts and it seems like it's going to take Brice a little while to learn the playbook enough to not be detriment on the field.

We should've got AP!!! Just kidding.

How about we have all four running backs active on game day? We're a different offense right now. The run game and short passing game will probably be our bread and butter. I say have them all active and cut back at some other position.

That's what irritates me the most. Right now we have three very similar RB's on the roster and nobody to actually pound the rock like Murray did last year.

I'm all in favor of sitting either Randle or DMC and bringing in C-Michael to bring a physicality that we're missing now.

It's pretty sad that we have to revert to passing in 3rd and short due to having no active RB who we can rely on picking up the 1st.

The passing on 3rd and short is not because they have no confidence in the running backs. It is because the offensive line is not yet pushing people off the ball the way they did last year. Hopefully we will get back there.

With Weeden in the game I want more Dunbar for dump off passes. And waiting for Michael to get up to speed on the playbook won't hurt, Butler looked lost at times.

man you are harsh... but that being said i've never been a fan of "lets run cecil gray, a homeless guy, and a guy who smoke blunts for a living behind our line because the patriots do it" theory...So I get where you're coming from..... Give me a guy who no doubt can get the job done.... I grew up in the 80's, I've seen great backs, it's not just a dream, or a john madden reality.

People on this board are against Michael just because other people are for him.
I don't see anyone lining up in support for Dmac. Yet if someone mentions sitting Dmac and giving those 6 carries to Michael people suddenly act like you are asking to replace Emmitt Smith for Michael.

I really don't see a huge difference either way. If Dmac or Michael get the 6 carries.

Actually I have to eat crow on Dunbar
He has produced and been a very important part of our plan
I would start C Mike as soon as he is ready over one of the other 2

You don't get the job done when there is no space.

We aren't seeing the gaping holes from last year so far and our RB's have been productive from a yards standpoint.

I think CMike needs to be playing over Street. They need to just stop thinking that dressing 4 rb's is too many because of Dunbar as a rb. He's a WR who you can hand it to every once in a while. More like a poor man's Percy Harvin than a poor man's Reggie Bush.

Dress CMike and don't dress Street. Consider Dunbar a WR and you still have 3 RB's and 5 WR's. Street isn't giving us anything anyway and then we add the power running game but don't give up anything the other RB's are giving us. Simple.

Dunbar's the last back on this roster he would replace.

Which is funny considering that so many were crying for him to be cut at the end of the preseason. My hope was Dallas would actually follow through on its plan for using him and it has so far.

If Michaels is activated, it needs to be at the expense of McFadden, who so far hasn't shown that he's anything more than the back he was in Oakland the past three years. In fact, his average is worse ... but we know it was all about that line.

I have questioned Dunbar and true maybe McFadden can do the same thing but right now I continue to keep Dunbar active for the simple reason he is making big plays. You don't reward a player who is making big plays by benching him.
