CMike over Dunbar

Dunbar has been making nice plays. CMike may have a role sometime in the future, but right now Dunbar has been contributing to wins.

I don't understand why we sign this guy and don't even try to get him on the field. If we had AD, last year's version of Murray or some other dominant back out there, I would understand, but at most, we're getting 'decent' performances from our run game when we're going to need phenomenal if we want to really do something this year. Keep Dunbar as a WR, which he is pretty much being used as anyways, deactivate Swaim or Lucky and give CM some carries and see how he loks.

I would give CMike a chance this week and sit DMC.

It still comes down to the fact that none of us are seeing the practices... we have no idea how Michaels is performing there.

I would love to unleash CMike. This dude can be the horse we need to punish teams. DMC could be our Dunbar.

No Way. DMC can ride the pine. In the first two games he is the only one that didn't do much of anything. No way I sit Dunbar.

I would replace McFadden who's averaging 2.7 a carry before I would replace Dunbar who's currently the Cowboys second leading receiver. He's made some big plays in the passing game and the Cowboys are going to need him because throwing to the backs is having to compensate for the lack of a running game we've had so far. We don't even know what Michael can do but I bet he can do more than McFadden has so far.

Seeing what someone does in practice is overrated. Charlie Strong rode with Tyrone Swoops because he was getting it done in practice. When Heard got on field, it was a completely different story. Get Michael out there and let's see what he can do in a real game. Deactivate Swaim or Lucky for a game and let's see what he brings to the table. There are ZERO reasons not to.

They added Johnson because another team signed one of our linebackers.

I think Dunbar has been earning his playing time. I would like to see a bigger back in the lineup. The 1st and goal to goal from the 1 not being able to get the ball in was very disappointing and think a bigger back may have faired better in that situation. Instead we settle for 3

with Dunbar playing so much WR in packages, we need to activate CMike as the third running back. Lucky hasn't been used much so if we need another WR because of injury during the game, Dunbar is it.
I think CMike adds a physicality that 21, 25 and even 20 don't have.
So in effect, we have 3 RBs active, 4 WRs active and Dunbar who can play both.

Right, I just think it's odd to sign a RB if you already have 5 active (including Clutts). Unless you are preparing for C Mike to play, he can be the scout team RB. And then just sign another LB to replace the LB you lost (or a DL to replace Terrell McClain injury). Just reading tea leaves. You could be right that it means nothing.
