That's how you do it. you keep your best weapons. Green Bay is now paying 2 WR's almost 10 million dollars each. the cowboys would never do that. they won't even pay Dez and Murray.Packers are smart to keep Rodgers his weapons.

But one of those options/weapons isn't a RB? What does DAL pay Witten/Dez after this deal (tag or otherwise, or what Witten made in his prime/TO recently, etc.) Tyron was paid handsomely to protect Romo as well albeit not exactly the same argument, etc. Miles Austin? About the same range overall. DAL pays talent (too much in the past), they are just getting smart about where to allocate the funds in a good-forward thinking way that many of us fans have begged for for decades.

Cry me a river...Life is so hard for an NFL player, right? How about those guys who work on oil & gas rigs, or dump
baskets in high waves trying to catch Alaskan King Crab... Yep, NFL players have it so, so hard... Get real!!!

That is not what i am saying. i am a working class man myself. i am just telling you what may become a result of Dez playing under the franchise tag, with no Guaranteed money beyond this year. i hope it does not happen.but the man is only human.it's possible this could happen.

Are you saying Cobb didn't take a discount? Cause I'm willing to bet he would have been offered more.

He's only had one productive season after coming off an injury plagued season. Teams have been getting screwed signing high priced free agent receivers so I didn't expect anyone to offer Cobb the farm especially with him playing in a pass happy offense with Aaron Rodgers as his QB. He's a good receiver but I feel he's a product of Aaron Rodgers and the Packers offensive scheme.

Dez 41 touch downs the last 3 years. Cobb is not even close.do not compare the two players. pay this man.

To compare Cobb is Dez. Is like Comparing Brandon Knight to Russel Westbrook.

Knight is a solid, and pretty good PG. Russel is elite, and probably the best as his position and top 3 player in the league.

Packer fan here an I agree that Dez is a better WR than Cobb and would trade Cobb in a second for Dez. But Cobb did not sign for what Dez should get. Cobb got about what was expected. Packers have always had good receivers but over the last 30 years the only truly great ones were Sterling Sharpe and James Lofton. Javon Walker may have been in that category but got hurt before he could put it all together. I would have loved to see Favre and Rodgers with a truly great WR like Dez, Calvin Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald, Randy Moss, Etc. But the ones he does throw to are pretty darn good. As much as I would like to see a truly great WR on the Packers, I gladly and proudly settle for the best QB in the game throwing the ball to pretty good WRs like Jordy, Cobb, Jones, Jennings, Driver, etc. . Cobb compared to Dez is comparing Romo to Rodgers. One is a very very very good player and probably top ten in the league and the other is as good as it gets.

Probably top 3 at his position but not in the league, no way no how

Westbrook is clearly the best PG. Ton of b ball fans around agree. On different sports forums. It's a race between him and Curry, some/most have him as the best.

He had another triple double today. He's Balling out of control, and nobody plays the position like him. Nobody.

That's all true, but I was talking about Dez
