Price goes up. He should have been signed last season. I remember a big discussion about this before the season started.

He switched agents mid stream. That's going to bite him I think.

Who say's it wouldn't result in a championship?

Check out the WR's on Seattle and New England...

Edelman
Amendola
LaFell
Baldwin
Kearse

I don't see anything close to a "Dez Bryant" in there.

Improve this defense some and the Cowboys will be competitive with the best OL in football and a top 5 QB and TE.

I don't see a Bill Bellichick or a Tom Brady on the Cowboys
Garrett is improving as a coach, but he's nowhere near Bellichick, and Romo is a great QB, but he's not a Brady.

What don't you understand man? Dez is being paid and he's going to be paid and he's
not going anywhere unless Dallas lets him go. Dallas is in the driver's seat here not Dez.
Dez is a great receiver but so was TO and guess what, who was this guy named
Laurant Robinson, hey? Romo makes receivers better and now Beasley has emerged.

I think Dez is fantastic but, he can and has been taken completely out of games. He doesn't
get separation like Beasley does. I'm not locking up 100mil on a receiver for 5 or 6 years
when Romo might be here 2 or 3 more. Be smart and keep the cap under control is my take.

He doesn't get separation like Beasley? I don't see teams double or triple covering Beasley. Beasley and Williams look a LOT different without Dez drawing so much attention.

Anyone else think Nelson/Cobb/Adams is going to be quite the trio for GB?

It's good. I think the Cowboys with Dez / Witten / Williams / Beasley compare favorably, especially when you add the Cowboys TE2 (Escobar) it might be better top to bottom.

I don't think the Packers WR corp is as nearly as good as let's say 2011 when it went:
  • WR1 - Greg Jennings
  • WR2 - Jordy Nelson
  • WR3 - James Jones
  • WR 4 - Donald Driver
  • WR 5 - Randall Cobb
  • TE 1 - Jermichael Finley

Really dude, you going there. Welker doesn't get many double teams either because it's the nature of the position. Beasley
is a nightmare for LB's or safeties. He creates separation and he makes the offense go because Romo has the
safety valve he needs to keep the offense moving. Dez does draw double teams but, so do every teams no1 receiver.
Nothing new here. Dez created this issue by changing agents and no one is blaming Dez. The Cowboys are not
going to be hijacked by ROC Nation. If Dez is worried about getting hurt he should spend some of the 12.8 million for
an insurance product because unless he accepts the Cowboys reasonable offer, he will continue to play under the tag.

I agree. but Cobb is really good. and worth every penny the Packers are paying him. i think he and Nelson make almost 10 million a year.Packers are paying their play makers.

Dez is getting 12.8mil for this year. You don't think he is being paid? Geez, what a world we live in...

But those two guys are getting long term deals with Guaranteed money.Dez is not. and he is better than both of them.

Put Rodgers in the Cowboys team and watch our current receiver corp destroy the current GB ones. I like Romo but Rodger and Brady are on a different level.

So what, who cares... Dez had an opportunity to sign last year, changed agents, and blew it... It's on him now.
Suck it up and just play!

Cobb is a very good WR. I'm sure he could have gone somewhere like Oakland for more money and become the #1 option, but he did the smart thing and remained in GB.

He's no Dez, but he doesn't need to be with Rodgers throwing him the ball.

That sounds good. but Dez is only human. he has to be thinking about the chance of getting hurt, and losing millions of Dollars. that's what having no long term Guaranteed money will do to a player. we may not see the all out Dez we are use to seeing. maybe he won't dive for that ball he use to dive for. getting hurt this year will cost him millions of dollars.

Cry me a river...Life is so hard for an NFL player, right? How about those guys who work on oil & gas rigs, or dump
baskets in high waves trying to catch Alaskan King Crab... Yep, NFL players have it so, so hard... Get real!!!

They play completely different roles in the offense and run completely different routes. Don't really think the 2 are comparable regardless.
