PAY THE MAN!!!!!!!
What's the hurry? What's the downside if they don't?
PAY THE MAN!!!!!!!
We aint NE or Seattle. NE may have the best QB to ever play in the NFL. and Maybe the best coach ever. and we don't have anywhere near the defense Seattle has. if we had a QB and coach like NE. or a defense like Seattle. i might agree with you. we don't have either. sorry, but without Dez and Murray, we are screwed.Who say's it wouldn't result in a championship?
Check out the WR's on Seattle and New England...
Edelman
Amendola
LaFell
Baldwin
Kearse
I don't see anything close to a "Dez Bryant" in there.
Improve this defense some and the Cowboys will be competitive with the best OL in football and a top 5 QB and TE.

Oh_Canada -- I think you aren't keeping up with the times.
Cobb is a very good slot WR. If you hadn't noticed, the value of slot WRs has been going up in the NFL in recent years.
Edelman was the NE's best WR this year.
Percy Harvin played a big role in Seattle's superbowl victory against Denver.
Cobb played a big role vs Dallas in the playoffs.
Unlike a X or Z WR who can be pretty much taken out but double-teaming, it's very hard to double a Y in the same way since literally they have the entire middle of the field to play with.
Anyway, not arguing with you that having a big elite X/Z WR like Dez isn't awesome, however, I think you are dramatically underplaying the role really good slot WRs are playing in recent years helping their teams in the playoffs / superbowls.

The Lions had one of the top defenses in the NFL. They gave up 17.6 points per game. Dallas scored 24 on them.

What don't you understand man? Dez is being paid and he's going to be paid and he's
not going anywhere unless Dallas lets him go. Dallas is in the driver's seat here not Dez.
Dez is a great receiver but so was TO and guess what, who was this guy named
Laurant Robinson, hey? Romo makes receivers better and now Beasley has emerged.
I think Dez is fantastic but, he can and has been taken completely out of games. He doesn't
get separation like Beasley does. I'm not locking up 100mil on a receiver for 5 or 6 years
when Romo might be here 2 or 3 more. Be smart and keep the cap under control is my take.
Anyone else think this is a bad contract? The problem in GB isn't offense. Their dollars would be better spent on the defense.
Rodgers can do more with less than anyone in this league. 10 mil for it even a legit number 1 is kind of dumb in their case.
Packers are smart. you keep your play makers. it's an offensive league. you don't help your team by letting play makers like Cobb walk away.
Now i have heard it all. Romo made Dez. and Beasley get's open better. then why not trade Dez to help the defense. and go get a vet WR, and a WR in the draft. if what you say is true. there is no reason to pay Dez right?
And Cobb is smart enough to know that he's in a good spot and that the amount he's getting is not only reasonable it allows the team more flexibility to add/keep good players.
Now fellow, do you just like to hear yourself talk? Did you even read what I wrote? Dez is a great receiver even
better than great in some games but, Romo makes him elite on some days. The Cowboys are going to keep
Dez as long as they want to but, they are not taking a vacation to cap hell just to make him smile on twitter.
This story has been yawked to death. Dez is a cowboy for as long as they want him to be, period.
Move on, enough said.
Pac
An unhappy Dez, may not be the same Dez. he's human. he may be playing not to get hurt since he is under the 1 year franchise tag. with no Guaranteed money for the years to come. we may not see the same Dez. the diving and doing anything it takes to catch the ball. that Dez may be gone.because he knows if he get's hurt. he will lose millions and millions of dollars.
What's the hurry? What's the downside if they don't?
