Bease is gone after this year.
Beasley isn't the teams leading receiver, stop itLooking at the "now" Beasley is the team's leading receiver.
Why are you only bringing up 2017 numbers. 2017 was a bad year for every receiver. Let's look at 2016. He had 75 catches for 800+ yards and 5TDs. He should end 2018 with about 65 catches for about 600 yards.
Those are good slot receiver numbers in an offense that is focused on running the ball so much.
Hurns plays as a slot receiver better than a outside. So I wouldn’t be surprised if he just fills that role.Per over the cap, Cole Beasley signed a four year $13.6 million contract with the Dallas Cowboys on March 3, 2015. Beasley received a $4 million signing bonus and $5 million in full guarantees. His 2016 salary will become fully guaranteed of on the roster the 5th day of the 2016 League Year. He is eligible for annual $500,000 escalators.
The front office has a big decision once his contract is expiring at the end of this season. Beasley has been a reliable player for this franchise.
He caught 75 passes from Dak in 2016 for 833 yards for 5TDs. In 2017, his production dropped off while only catching 36 balls for 314 yards and 4TDs. But we all know how much of a disaster 2017 was for everyone. He has already surpassed last years numbers this season catching 48 passes for 468 yards and 2 scores. And is the teams 2nd leading receiver.
How would you handle Beasley at the end of this year? Do you let him walk in free agency and if so how do you plan on replacing his production. Or do you ink him to a new deal.
Personally, I think he is worth a new contract and slightly over pay him considering his past deal.
4 years 22-24 million
2019 Cap Number 4.5 million
2020 Cap Number 5.5 million
2021 Cap Number 6 million
2022 Cap Number 6.5 million (if cut, 6.5 million in cap savings.
I'd say 4 years for 24 million would be my ceiling on him. But if ends up walking, trading Switzer made absolutely no sense. We used a 4th round pick on him and basically got nothing in return.
Tavon Austin is just to injury prone to be tasked with the starting slot receiver position. Can't count on him.

You said Beasley "now"If not trading for Cooper, who would it be?
Amendola only got 6 million a year - 2yr 12 million
He won't be back. Here's his replacement:
Coop
Gallup
Austin
^starters next season. Book it.
Yes, I am. He's shown how explosive he can be without Cooper on the field. He's faster than Beasley, he's younger, better kickoff or punt returner, and I think he won't command as much money.
With Coop and Gallup, we get to see Tavon vs CB3s, safeties, and LBs - in space? Drool.
Zeke had 39 yards rushing in the first half against the saints. We scored 13 pointsOnly "Lazy" in for only the MONEY WR will stay in Dallas......I mean really now we have 14 passes with 2 completions for over 20 yards this season.....Our Team is solely based on 1 player named Zeke after him there is 0 offense .....what STUD WR wants to Rot away his career waiting for Dak to throw a good one????
Now sell me on the fact if Zeke isn't running how we are going to score?
Anyone??? Anyone???? Anyone????
If we let him walk..Let him walk.
Let him walk.

You said Dak couldn't score unless Zeke was running and I proved you wrong. We moved the ball through the air to score those points. Now you want to say 13 points ain't nothing......... Well it was enough to beat the saints without scoring anymore13 pts omg we're breaking the bank baby.....
An uninspiring mix of average to days are numbered in the NFL? This team didn't give up a 1st for Coop because they thought we had a ton of talent in the WR room. Was that a real question? If he is average, what do you consider the rest of our receivers
