Colin Cowherd: Comparing Purdy's situation to Dak

And just isn't greedy.

Prescott is a terrible human being.
WTH? The brotherhood...tear down that house, build another one, find a stupid lady with your money.

He has it made...but his football dances are not going to last.

What do you pay Sam Darnold?

Again it is a supply and demand problem.

What options do the Niners have?
How about not overpaying for a mediocre to decent QB? How about that? Teams don’t HAVE to pay these outrageous contracts for QBs who don’t have the commensurate talent to offset the negative impact these QB contracts have on the cap and you don’t pay Sam Darnold anywhere near 50-60 million. If he wants that, or more even, you tell him to kick sand.

You are correct and they can trade up and draft Trance.

Celtics team is built different because Jalen is just as good as Jason. They really don’t depend on a big (one they have stays hurt) so they win on 3’s and D. So that is why they both signed over $300M contracts. But they both are equal on that team especially with Jalen being the better D player.

They probably will. The QB market is out of order in my opinion. Just because a guy is considered a franchise QB, or if you're just afraid to have to find a replacement, he's going to make stupid money.
If they don't someone else will.

And you ALSO don’t have to trade large swathes of draft capital to draft a QB either. That’s just as dumb.

This isn’t an either/or situation. You don’t have to grossly overpay for a mediocre starting QB nor do you have to oversell your draft capital to move up and draft one. You don’t have to do this. The QB hyper-inflated market bubble is well overdue to be popped.

I think Purdy is pretty good but that’s just me. Clearly when you pay a QB more than literally the league minimum concessions are going to be made, but you could do a lot worse than him imo. I think a 3 year deal at $60M is palatable if you’re the 9ers, especially since CMC and Deebo are more expendable after this year

60 Million for Prestrash.............

And their Homer fans want a Superbowl also.......

Happy New Year, especially to my brothers, who can see it.........................

One of them is NOT paying Purdy 60 million $ a year.
Is Jerry Jones the GM there also as that's the only way Lynch pays Purdy that kinda cash?
30 years of ineptness don't come easy!

if Purdy signs for less than $50 million per season we know all we need to know about the Dallas Cowboys.

This guy is so reactionary. His premise is right but he’s so flavor of the moment, Sam darnold literally was close to being out of the league and has had a very good year and he’s ok paying him $50m. He lost me

But Dak the Fans want another SB and with you making 60 million a year there's just NOT enough talent to go around.
We need to get better, we will get better and tell the People to...........

I think his agent will say otherwise, especially when they have no other option on the roster.

The only way to keep QB contracts under control is to have 2 competent QB's.

I think SF tops out at 50/per. If he rejects it, I suspect they look elsewhere.
