Collapse or wake-up call?

For who, the team of the fans? I definitely think some here got a wake up call. The odds makers were never fooled. They had the Bills favored the whole time.

Is this the start of our annual collapse, or is this a wake-up call to the team prior to going to the playoffs? It'll be up to the coaches to instill a mindset into this team that hasn't been instilled for a while. Typically, this time of the season, the Cowboys get crushed by a team. It then serves as a needle to pop the Cowboys balloon. Unfortunately, at this time, it feels like a repeat of the same film. See if once and you see a typical Cowboys season.

However, I would like to hold out the faintest of hope that the Cowboys coaches will instead use this as the kick in the pants that a lot of playoff teams get to remind them that they've not won anything yet. As painful as this was, let's be honest. The Cowboys were getting really cocky. The amount of bulletin board material they put out against a team that was going to be desperate for a win to stand a chance at making the playoffs was stupid. Putting people's faces on the tackling and blocking sleds, then putting it on social media for all to see, then the whole Ferguson smack talking leading into this game. I think the team came into this game, similarly to the Cardinals game, expecting to just walk in, grab a win, and get home. They forgot to actually play the game.

One of the big areas that needs to be fixed is the personal fouls. The three personal fouls that our defence/ST committed resulted in TDs. This along with Martin's injury led to the game getting out of hand. So, I'll close this thread out by saying this. Is this the start of a collapse, or is this a wake-up call? Only the FO, coaches, and players can answer that.
It's just a wake up call, NOW will they wake up ?
SF was the wake-up call. By now, this is who they are.
WOW , Well 10-4 is who they are . Who am I going to believe, you or Bill Parcells?

there are constants with this team and have been for years/decades.

1. If the opponent out physicals the cowboys it’s a wrap.
2. They can’t come back from a deficit .
3. McCarthy really can’t manage a game/change a game-plan during a game. Lotta dumb/bonehead mistakes that a coach can’t make.
4. This team beats itself with dumb mistakes and penalties.

Today was the cowboys we see in playoffs. They really don’t have a killer instinct. They will be eliminated in the playoffs with a game like this. 1 step forward 3 steps back.

Maybe just one of those days?

What if the Bills didn't get two early touchdowns after personal foul calls? Could have changed the entire complexion of the game. Doesn't excuse the lousy play all-around before and after, but everyone knows this is a different team playing from behind.
There is allot to this. IMO

How many wake up calls does this team need? Great teams don't get embarrassed like this multiple times a season. They weren't even competitive.

We’ve had a couple of wakeup calls this season, we’re just not the same team on the road, especially against a contending team. Once we get behind, we get the crap knocked out of us. The Cowboys recipe for success is playing at home and jumping out to an early lead. Once we get down by two scores, we’re done.

I’m not looking for belief. I’m just pointing out how, in two games on the road against playoff favorites, they’ve been wholly uncompetitive.

We’ve been feasting on bad teams at home piling up the stats. These players know that all that matters at the negotiating table to the Cowboys is is stats and being a good team player. It’s hard to lose a job in Dallas just being a loser.

I remember last year, when we lost in Week 18 at Washington and EVERYONE was SO SURE we'd lose the following week at Tampa Bay in the playoffs.

This team bounces back pretty well after a loss. I expect Miami to have their hands full next week.
