I would offer a 3 year, but with the 3rd year voidable. Put a roster bonus in that year as well.

First of all, anyone who talks like that should slap themselves.cowboyed;1410028 said:Thanks for using paucity in your reply. It is about time we have some erudite debaters in the fold.

Idgit;1410161 said:This speculation is based off of Mick saying that Colombo won't get much more than (Stinchcomb?) got with the Saints. That was a 2-year, 7M contract. I doubt that's exactly what we've got on the table for Marc.
My bet is he ends up a Cowboy at the end of the day, anyway.

CaptainAmerica;1410253 said:Mick didn't pull that about the Stinchcomb deal out of the air. I'm sure Mick picked that up in his conversations around the Ranch with guys like Stephen Jones. I took it to be good info that Stinchcomb's deal is the contract Jerry and Stephen used to make their offer.
It sounds like Colombo is checking out the market to see if that is his true value.

5Stars;1410313 said:Not only that, but, just how in the world is Colombo going to survive on 7 million dollars? I know I can't...I will make a little over 9.7 million this year and I think I might have to file for welfare or bankruptcy...
7 million is not what it was yesterday....

The comparison isn't $7 million vs. minimum wage. The comparison is $7 million over 2 years vs. $12 million over 3 years or $20 million over 5 years.5Stars;1410313 said:Not only that, but, just how in the world is Colombo going to survive on 7 million dollars? He's looking at Kenyon Coleman's contract and saying, "Hey, if he can get that kinda money, shouldn't I?"
We're all greedy. It's what makes the world go 'round.5Stars;1410330 said:I know what he's doing....
But, if you get to greedy in anything in life, sometimes it don't work out all that well.
I'm just saying, if he wants 7 mil, he knows he can get it...and if he cannot live on 7 mil for two years, and then see if he's still a player and can get bigger money, then he's being greedy...
