Colts Release DT Jonathan Hankins

If Hankins signs with the skins, I wonder if that means they release McClain. Cowboys would likely have interest in bringing him back cheaply. McClain hasn't fit that well with the skins.

He is one well tuned machine.

HEY HEY HEY...

If/when Marinelli leaves soon and the team abandons its disbelief in using a true 1Tech (like Hankins), guys like Sean Lee and Jaylon Smith will reap the benefits. Lee is so instinctive and Jaylon is quick to the ball ( when he recognizes the play), they will see a lot more daylight with a 1Tech occupying two blockers/gaps.

This is Eberflus doing us a solid.

He was also cut, so he wouldn't count against us in comp picks.

if we were to sign him we would HAVE to have weight provisions in the contract. But once again Marinelli's blindness will prevent any consideration. Jerry and company are too stupid to see that Marinelli will only EVER be really successful when he has a talent advantage. Chicago and Tampa Bay he had lots of talent. Here he does not and is unable to make up the difference. The way Hayden stuck around for so long obviously because of Marinelli really says it all. There had to be 100 DTs out there that were better but because Hayden always tried that was enough for Marinelli. to me that does not mean dick if you cannot produce

Eagles have a stout front line, Commanders trying to do the same. Those teams are trying to negate our strength in running the ball. Smart teams try to build their teams against those in their division. Wish we would do the same, or at least try to.

I would be interested in Hankins, the Cowboys?.....who knows anymore

Would love to get him (and players like him) on one year deals with zero guaranteed money. They can audition for a huge free agent deal the year after. We get one good year on the cheap and a comp pick. Then he moves on and flops some where else.

Good players don't sign stupid deals like that
