Not so sure on Shumate.

He struggled in coverage at ND and wasn't the best tackler at times. Now some have said his pass coverage issues were more tied to the system ND was running that called for a lot of adjustments and was fairly complicated by college defense standards.

Shumante will be a better SS than Neal.

I doubt that. Shumate has been a declining player since his freshman season. Ironically, he played a lot of slot corner that year, and was pretty good. Once he was put in deep coverage, he was a mess. Granted, he was better than Max Redfield this year, but it wouldn't have taken much.
