Me too! I believe that we have pretty much the same chance with them, as we did with the gayders. If the team goes out and has a chip on its shoulder, plays with alot of attitude they can win this game.

So I see got a few cuddlers and a few that agree with me.

I think most of us when we search are hearts sense that this team is on the verge of something big.

I think were going to beat the eagles this week , i really do. :star:
Your heart also told you that Quincy Carter would be a superstar.

At this point, this team hasn't proven that it isn't a repeat of last year's team. They lose the next 2 and they will be.

Did anyone else notice how well Brady James has played?

Ummmm..........Not really. He did make a few plays, but most occurred after Jordan had got through the gaps.

None of the LB's played particularly well IMO.

The truth is, up until this point, Washington (ranked 5th) and San Diego (ranked 6th) are above average run defenses, while Oakland (ranked 13th) and San Francisco (ranked 17th) are average or barely above average.

If your reason for optimism is, "easier run defenses" coming up, then it looks like you may need to take off the rose-colored glasses for the following games:

Denver (ranked 4th), Washington (ranked 5th), St. Louis (ranked 7th), Kansas City (ranked 9th), Carolina (ranked 10th), Detroit (ranked 14th), NY Giants- twice (ranked 16th)

That's 8 games playing statistically better run defenses than San Francisco and 5 games playing statistically better run defenses than Oakland.
Those defensive rankings are based on yards per GAME, and can be telling at the end of a 16-game season, but after 4 games, the yards per game stats can also be misleading.

If you look at yards per CARRY, all 4 defenses we have faced are in the top 12, and average 9th in the league. That's not "barely above average," it's better than 23 other teams' defenses.

As for these supposedly strong run D's we have yet to face, consider that you are basing this assumption that they are strong on yards per GAME.

For example, the Giants are 16th in ypg, but 25th in ypc. (Meaning, teams haven't been running it on them enough. But trust me, we will.) KC, St. Louis, and Detroit also all rank in the bottom half of the league in yards per carry allowed.
