You talk about selling a story and then try to sell the biggest whopper of them all.

The fact is Murray was a perfect fit for us and a terrible fit for PHI. His struggles had nothing to do with his legs. It was Chip Kelly.

DMC put up very average numbers. 800 yards and 10 TDs is how far behind Murray he finished. What he got paid is irrelevant. We don't win games based on value. We win based on production. They intentionally got worse at RB and you guys keep defending them.

It's hilarious dude. Great stuff transpiring in these threads as a result of Felicia showing her true colors. The same colors people like you and I saw long ago.

De Nile is a river.

anyone who can get in a fight with Witten (during a practice a couple yrs ago) has to have something wrong with him. Believed he was a headcase before and convinced after that!

Lol, at least my guy got one more year to prove something. But Randle is wash up and will never play in this league again. Besides I'm moving on to a new pet cat Vernon Adams Jr.

DeMarco Murray ran for 248 yards in his very first NFL start.

Do you know how many rookies in NFL history have rushed for more in their first start?

None!

Do you know how many rookies in NFL history had a better game?

One!

Do you know how many Cowboy RB in history ran for more yards their rookie season?

Three.

Two of them are Hall of Famers and the other one was NFL Rookie of the Year that season.

He ran for over 700 yards in his first 7 games_ took viscious hits behind the elite line of rookie Tyron Smith, Montrae Holland, Phil Costa, Kyle Kosier and Doug Free.

Fredericks and Martin were college underclassmen.

Callaghan was working for Rex Ryan in New York.

Murray started had over thousand yards from scrimmage.

But that was a mediocre season for a rookie 3rd round pick.

How could anybody not see those seven games, 5-2, and not get excited? He was the complete back and the Cowboys got him for the same value they got Jason Williams and Martin Brewster.

They had the Giants, eventual SB champs on the ropes before Murray got hurt. He was taking shots as a result of that offensive line. Don't believe it? Two games later Romo is out.

The Cowboys lost by three points and would have taken the division. The Giants ended 9-7, Cowboys and Eagles 8-8.

How can a guy break decades old records, set by former elite RB's like James Brown and Emmitt Smith and then be called mediocre?

A lot of different stories. In any event, losing him was huge. The Cowboys will move on and I hope they can get another guy that sets the pace like him. But let's not pretend he wasn't a critical element of the Cowboys immediate potential to be great.

We would have won more games with him on the team. Quite possible, Romo would have been less exposed and better protected.

I say this from a Cowboy fan perspective. He's a Eagle now, I hope we slaughter them next year twice.

Talent isn't Randle's downfall. Its his demons he's battling. He's not the first or last guy to do this. Josh Gordon is going through it now. Randy Gregory will be next if he doesn't get it together.

I saw Randle as a chump who opened his mouth about Murray, who incidentally, was a nice guy. I never liked him after that.

& this folks is why I laugh at the people that think we would have been fine with knucklehead Randle. The denial is so deeply embedded that it even leads you to believe the extreme scheme change didn't matter. The responses are pretty hilarious. Please keep them coming.

Again, one last time for those that just don't get it, Demarco fit nicely right where he was right there behind our line. As I stated last year, letting him go without finding a way to meet in the middle is one if the biggest mistakes in the history of the franchise.

Screw knucklehead Randle. That clown has me fired up again about the whole Demarco debacle........ I let it go months ago.....

Re-read my post. I said Randle would have been "adequate" or "effective", had his mental deficiencies not gotten in the way.

As to what I said about Murray, it was irrespective of my thoughts on Randle. Anyone who thinks Murray would have been the Murray of '14 this past season is a fool. He was a step slower and nowhere near as sharp in 2015. Playing in Philadelphia isn't what caused him to lose that step, either. Playing in Dallas wouldn't have given it back to him. He would have been a better fit in Dallas, but the wear and tear brought upon him by the heavy load of 2015 would have still affected him significantly.

As far as "finding a way to meet in the middle" goes, Dallas supposedly offered him $6.25m (average) per season. Murray nice that, so I guess he couldn't figure out where the "middle" is.

At best, Murray would have matched what McFadden ended up giving Dallas for $6m less.

No, it has been firmly established that if you wanted murray to walk, you were wrong. That the dallas passing game ceased to exist and murray clearly had no legs doesnt matter. Youre wrong, and im going to keep saying this until it sticks!

Lol link? I stated many times I hated breaking up something that works.

Randle still can be. We just need to mold him into a moonwalker like we did with John Travolta.

I spent a lot of time defensing Randle early on. I thought and still think, Randle has the natural running ability to be the lead guy in a RBBC approach. I had no idea, however, what an absolute head case he is or I would never have advocated so hard for him. His physical gifts aren't his problem, it's his pea-sized brain and complete lack of moral compass or understanding of accountability.

His extending the ball over the goal line after being told directly by coaches not to, really is a microcosm of him as a person and player.
