That's what I've heard myself. Bradford does have that NFL cannon arm that scouts drool over.
Well they better get some all pro lineman because Bradford can't move.

So...umm...how did that Joe Gibbs thing turn out for them?

This is the NFL...while fans like to pretend the coach makes all the difference in the world, it doesn't. The players do; the coach sets an important tone and hopefully builds something, but a good coach can't make chicken salad out of chicken sh!##.

No coach in the NFL could have gotten more than 6-7 wins out of the Skins this year. We feel fortunate that our offense didn't implode when we lost one starting OT. Can you imagine losing 3-4 starters for the entire year? Playing 6 different guys at one OG position?

In this league, without an OL, you will not win. Washington can't get that line fixed in one year. They should improve, but they are likely 2-3 years away from actually competing again...if they're lucky.

dr81 or whatever if it's the one in Houston than...Shany's son than I didn't even consider him.....so not being aware if Shany has another son doesn't have diddly squat to do with posting on the board or not. I really don't care about following Coaches sons and what they do for a living.....if thats your cup of tea than I might add maybe you should get you a LIFE to live !!!

True. They can't protect Campbell now.

Personally I think it would be a big mistake for the skins to take a QB with their 1st pick considering it will be a fairly high pick. The QB class this year to me does not look like franchise type QB's. Some may develop down the road but when using a 1st rd selection on a QB it is a big risk.

So here is hoping the skins take a QB with their 1st pick! :laugh2:

Did the Skins get a new owner? No. In that case I don't expect everything to be rosy during his tenure.

I am hoping they delay until next year for the QB. Get Okung. Get a guard. Get an o-line together. They'll be in a similar position next year to take Locker.

I have made the case to get the QB this year on our home boards

Superbowl o-line aren't built with high end first round talent, but with many good quality picks.

More UDFAs have started on Superbowl winning o-lines (12) then 1st round picks (7) this decade

Shanny will bring in Bradford, and build his team with him

Speak for yourself. I want them to wallow in hell for the rest of the decade at least.

And the new decade starts Friday. So starting this friday 10 years of suffering to all the men wearing dresses in Washington. May the cold wind blow right up your skirt :laugh2:

Yeah I have read your thoughts -- and you make good points there too...I just trust Okung more then I trust Bradford. Plus I think Locker is going to be better...

Shanahan will come in and probably purge the roster of anyone over the age of 27 (with Fletcher, Cooley and Dockery surviving)

I hear Skins fans say that all the time these days. You can't cut most of the team because you won't be able to replace them all in one year. Shanahan will be forced to keep a lot of your current roster. He will be able to turn over a good bit, but he can't just release everyone over the age of 27.

SkinsHokieFan;3184018 said:
Look for 30 new players next year.

Thirty? Where will he get that many from? Maybe 10 from the draft (which would be some sort of Snyder era record I think). Does that mean he will sign 20 guys from free agency and undrafted free agents? And that is if all the draft picks make the team.

SkinsHokieFan;3184018 said:
He'll draft his first round QB like he did in Cutler and look for ways to get more picks with the help of a crafty guy in Allen. Draft o-line, draft o-line and sign some midlevel o-line FAs that are available

So you know the skins will draft a QB in round 1, huh? :laugh2: The Commanders don't even know that yet, but you are sure?

SkinsHokieFan;3184018 said:
2012 the team should be ready to compete for a playoff spot. After that, who knows

Nobody can tell even what is going to happen the following year in the NFL, yet you know the Commanders will compete for a playoff spot in 2012?

I love it how Commander fans always speak with certainty when predicting the future. :laugh2:

interesting reading skins fans comments here.If they think they have a shot a locker in 2011 then they have resigned to the fact that the skins will stink it up again in 2010 season.

That's why I think we have a shot at Locker...this is not going to be a quick fix...

The scary thing is: The Nationals are closer to contending than the Commanders.
