That post is full of fail.

First, he was projected as high as the second round, but PFW stated he was a likely 3rd round candidate.

Second, he played for three full seasons before being ruled ineligible for the 2009 season.

He also wasn't a "drug user" but rather was sanctioned for using a diuretic supplement.

that is true, but I'm not afraid of a non-overtly quick guy, who's short

Colombo will handle him easily

Exactly.

The Vinny C./Snyder combo reminds me of the old Jerry. Always trying to find an angle, always trying to outsmart everyone.

If Jarmon turns out like Gaither, they did outsmart everyone.

Or maybe he'll be like the last guy you sent a contingent to go see and then made no secret of your love for. I think he plays QB for you now.

What's it going to be then, eh?

I am not afraid of him either, but let's not pretend they are imbeciles because they took him.

There are plenty of other proven reasons to regard Vinny Cerrato as an imbecile.

What I like about the choice is that it probably does mean they are dead serious on playing Orakpo at LB. It will take them a good season or two to realize that idiotic mistake.

Some have said he wasn't going to get out of the 2nd round...

Only one player taken in supplemental draft

The pomp and circumstance that is the supplemental draft is all done for the year.

According to Adam Schefter, reporting live from the draft floor, Jeremy Jarmon was the only player selected. (Actually Schefter was more likely standing on his kitchen floor, but that doesn't sound as exciting.)

Schefter also passes along the nugget that the Detroit Lions were set to select Jarmon at the top of the fourth round before the Commanders nabbed him.

This means everyone else is a free agent.

Perhaps they are looking to the future when Andre Carter retires in the not-too-far future. And he provides young depth. Wynn and Daniels will be gone soon, too.

I agree with you about Orakpo. He should have his hand in the dirt.

The LSU/SEC fan in me believes that the Commanders nabbed themselves a pretty good run stopper in Jarmon. Still, I've haven't been impressed with his pass rushing abilities.

What's more surprising to me is that Detroit was out-bidded by Washington IF the Lions placed a bid for him. Their defensive line needs some upgrading and they only picked Sammie Lee Hill in the April draft in that regard. Perhaps the Lions didn't think Jarmon was worth a third rounder. If so, that's telling.

 the Commanders stole him from them in the 3rd round

If Jarmon ends up playing LDE in Washington's scheme, that is a run-stopping position where pass rush is secondary.

Well I am not really sold on him, certainly would rather have used our 4th or even 5th rounder. At the same time, our D-line is aging, and with him, Orakpo, and Buzbee (if he makes the cut) we should at least have good youth, and for good or bad, not be looking at the line again for a few years to come.

Good move for the foreskins. Jarmon is a good player. The kids motor is always running.Would have easily been 1st or second team all - SEC had he been eligible this season.

Well, pash rush will be secondary for Jarmon no matter what position he plays. He does have a good nose for ball carriers though.

Are you certain? Have you read or hear that somewhere? I wouldn't mind seeing or hearing that for myself. It would be worth a laugh or two.
