Shirley you jest my friend!
Those third-round picks will come after the compensatory picks that are awarded to teams for losing free agent players. We don’t yet know how many third-round compensatory picks will be awarded for losing free agents, but if there were five regular third-round compensatory picks, those would be picks Nos. 97-101. Then the first compensatory pick for losing a minority player or executive would be No. 102.

If multiple teams lose minority coaches or executives, multiple third-round compensatory picks will be awarded. They’ll be awarded in the same order that teams choose in the draft, so the team that’s higher in the draft order would also be higher in the compensatory pick order.

No jest I read a article https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profo...for-minority-coaches-and-executives-explained

Zimmer been out too long. IMO... Al or Vrabel... Vrabel runs a 3-4 I believe. Dallas is not equipped to run a 3-4. And Vrabel would be a direct threat for Mike's coaching job if things turn south. Thus Harris ..IMHO...would be the best choice moving forward. Vrabel is not going anywhere. Things go south? You could hire him 2025.
Experienced NFL coaches, and their agents, see MM has had three 12-5 seasons in a row and did not get an extension. How do you explain to your wife and kids we’re moving to be a part of that franchise? Vrabel is still being paid by Tennessee. He does not need to settle for joining Jerry’s clown show. Belichick would retire before considering working for Jerry Jones. Harris will likely turn down the promotion and get fired knowing he has a place to go. There is no pride being stuck inside a slowly sinking ship.

Honestly if you put emotions aside, dq just has to tell him that if he stays in Dallas and the team doesn’t make the nfc championship game then the entire staff is going to be fired and his big shot at being a coordinator is out the window. It’s a wasted opportunity.

If he goes to Washington baring a complete meltdown he’s gonna get to grow with the role. He also likely gets a larger say into free agency and decisions since the commanders have 70m in cap space.

Only way to keep him was to make him defensive coordinator. Just means the Cowboys want someone else as defensive coordinator. Probably Al Harris.

Can’t blame him. That’s a lot more job security than a coach on the last year of a deal.
Yep, the dude aint stupid, he can see the writing on the wall that Fat Mike is gone after this year and the next head coach will probably clean house on the staff.

Smart move to get a multi year deal from Washington.

On purpose..Quinn was like “let’s get out of here fast, let’s put together the worst game plan possible that goes against what we have done all year (man coverage), make no adjustments, go small personnel when they go big, lose the game, and bolt to another team”. Crazy
Witt is the pass defense coordinator and secondary coach.

We made plenty of adjustments throughout the year. We would 2/1 gap inside based on matchups, switch and disguise coverages.

At the end of the day, we had no LB. LVE and Overshown got hurt. Clark was clearly not ready to go it alone. We didn't adjust to go small. We were always small because putting an extra S on the field was better than the LB we had. We ran that for lack of an alternative.

Another adjustment you can make to teams that run and misdirect is to play zone coverages. If it is well taught, players are keeping the play in front of them at all times and are resistant to play fakes. Our squad was not well taught. High low route concepts are designed to put stress on a zone defender sure but our guys ended up covering nobody. We were borking gap assignments and showing piss poor effort at the poa.

Witt is the one teaching them that zone. Not Quinn and not Harris.

It’s more that Dallas didn’t have the personnel to match.

Over the course of the game, the Packers stayed in 12 personnel for 47 percent of their plays. The end result was that at various points in the game, Dallas was stuck matching at least one cornerback (none of whom are within 5 inches of Musgrave or Kraft) on one of these tight ends, who combined to catch five passes for 67 yards and a touchdown. It also meant these defensive backs had to carry the load against a run game that was trotting out two tight ends to help with the run blocking. It was a similar game plan to what we saw in Week 15, when Bills running backs averaged 6.3 yards per carry and ran 12 personnel 33 percent of the time.

It’s not a great look for Quinn, a hot name as a potential head coaching candidate for 2024. But at the same time, he didn’t really have many options. Damone Clark was the only healthy linebacker on the roster. Safety Markquese Bell became the number two linebacker as the season went on, playing 90 percent of his snaps in the box or along the defensive line. Parsons is technically an option to drop into coverage, but he’s also the most explosive pass rusher in the NFL—not the type of guy you want doing anything else. Perhaps this problem was less on Quinn and more on the guys building the roster.

Those picks only apply if they are hired as Head coach or GM

Time for fresh blood.
If Jerry Jones was smart.....Chris Peterson....20 million...per. He wouldn't have to search for a staff....they would come to him. Young staff too since the Huskies just blew up..after Alabama poached ...he put that staff together.

Hank is old and been injury prone. Mazi has to gain back 40 pounds.Micah can't play IMHO at DE in a 3-4 ...no way...way too light in the pocket. Overshown coming off a serious injury. Knuckle head at LB...no....LVE is done IMHO...neck injury way too bad. Clark...nope...Just my opinion. Hope you're right..
Micah would be an OLB in a 3-4.
Heck Quinn played him as a DE in his 4-2-5
