Ever notice that guys that have motivation issues in college, tend to have them in the NFL, too?

Ever notice the trend with those kind of players when they get big contracts at the midpoint of their career?

If he has peaked doesn't it mean he is on the downhill slide now?

Gurode owned him a couple years back, what happened to that Andre we knew. Still couldn't shotgun snap properly, but at least he would manhandle yours guys after he snapped the ball at Tonys feet/head.

I hope Tenn pays him. I do NOT want to see him in Washington. He upgrades that DL significantly.

Haynesworth to DC would not be good... especially with our running game needing a healthy rebound next year

Especially not good for Gurode, who may have to see him twice a year.

At that position? No

He'll be a top notch player for years at that position.

This is my biggest beef with the salary cap.

You spend all this time developing a player only to lose him to Free Agency or pay the money and be restrained in free agency.

And if you didn't have a salary cap then you'd have players getting baseball sized contracts and people would be pissed off about how tickets and merchandise are even higher than they already are.

It's not like not having a cap would some how magically make players start taking less money.

That is my problem with Free Agency.

I hope they sign him to a 1000 million contract, then get stuck with him as he reverts back to the way he played his first two-three years in the league.

It really wont surprise me.

Commanders | Future destination for Haynesworth?
Mon, 23 Feb 2009 08:28:33 -0800

Peter King, of SI.com, reports the Washington Commanders might be the only logical landing spot for Tennessee Titans impending free-agent DL Albert Haynesworth. Team owner Daniel Snyder had dinner with Haynesworth's agent, Chad Speck, this past weekend during the NFL Scouting Combine. Snyder may be the only owner willing to meet Haynesworth's contract demands.

This could also be a case of King choosing the Commanders because of our reputation. It's interesting that Snyder was seen talking to Haynesworth's agent at a dinner. I wouldn't put it past them to have "been caught having dinner" just to create a market for Haynesworth in the hopes that another team will overpay him. Snyder is buddy-buddy with a lot of these agents. As for the Commanders actually acquiring him, I wouldn't have a problem with that. We have two young DTs who are restricted free agents this year, but they are below average players who seem to already have hit their ceilings.

He hadn't peaked in his career either.

I still believed John Henderson was the better player coming out of Tennessee until he came back after stepping on Gurodes face.

He is unquestionably the best NT in the game and if you have the money to spend on him then I think its a great move for your defense.

I hope Washington doesn't make this move so I dont have to act like Snyder made a mistake while crossing my fingers.
Washington has a ton of holes (much like Dallas), not the least of which is at QB. Haynesworth doesn't change that they're the 3rd or 4th best team in the division.

Henderson was miles better at UT, and has been until the last season or two. It's hard to imagine that's just a coincidence and not Haynesworth wanting to get paid. He's been a lazy underachiever until his one big shot at a contract comes up.

He may revert to form or he may be the monster he was this season. I'd hate for it to be my $ that was risked on last season not being the exception in his career.

Bro...if your team gets him...I think your team is going to the bowl.
