He'll be a top notch player for years at that position.

NOT in Washington.

You spend all this time developing a player only to lose him to Free Agency or pay the money and be restrained in free agency.

Peter King, of SI.com, reports the Washington Commanders might be the only logical landing spot for Tennessee Titans impending free-agent DL Albert Haynesworth. Team owner Daniel Snyder had dinner with Haynesworth's agent, Chad Speck, this past weekend during the NFL Scouting Combine. Snyder may be the only owner willing to meet Haynesworth's contract demands.

LOL
Washington has a ton of holes (much like Dallas), not the least of which is at QB. Haynesworth doesn't change that they're the 3rd or 4th best team in the division.CATCH17;2650176 said:He hadn't peaked in his career either.
I still believed John Henderson was the better player coming out of Tennessee until he came back after stepping on Gurodes face.
He is unquestionably the best NT in the game and if you have the money to spend on him then I think its a great move for your defense.
I hope Washington doesn't make this move so I dont have to act like Snyder made a mistake while crossing my fingers.

Skinsmaniac;2650636 said:This could also be a case of King choosing the Commanders because of our reputation. It's interesting that Snyder was seen talking to Haynesworth's agent at a dinner. I wouldn't put it past them to have "been caught having dinner" just to create a market for Haynesworth in the hopes that another team will overpay him. Snyder is buddy-buddy with a lot of these agents. As for the Commanders actually acquiring him, I wouldn't have a problem with that. We have two young DTs who are restricted free agents this year, but they are below average players who seem to already have hit their ceilings.
