I hope he goes to the skins. Gurode can then dominate him twice a year!

ESPN reported last nite that the Titians are trying to work a deal out before Fri and he doesn't really want to leave Tenn.

you mean there's a player that doesnt want to play for the Skins? And for less money than they'd take to go anywhere else?

is Deangelo Hall a free agent or is he still with the skins?

Commanders Continue Pursuit of DeAngelo Hall

Jason Reid files this report:
The Commanders met with the agent for cornerback DeAngelo Hall, Joel Segal, Friday during the combine at Indianapolis and were expected to continue talking throughout the week, a league source said. A deal was not imminent after the initial meeting, but the Commanders remain interested.
Re-signing Hall is among the organization's top priorities. Owner Daniel Snyder and Vinny Cerrato, Washington's executive vice president of football operations, would prefer to get a deal done before Hall is permitted to consider offers from other teams, beginning Friday when the free agent market opens.
We figure it would take something in the range of $15 million guaranteed to get it done. Considering how eager Snyder and Cerrato are to bring back Hall, he could get exactly what he wants. As always, stay tuned.

It looks like they want to keep Hall off the market but I think it will take them more guaranteed money.

I'd let him test the market because he isn't going to get much.

He had a couple of balls thrown right to him and all of a sudden everyone in Washington thinks hes a good corner.

As a Cowboy fan I hope they sign Deangello Hall.

Commanders | Future destination for Haynesworth?
Mon, 23 Feb 2009 08:28:33 -0800

Peter King, of SI.com, reports the Washington Commanders might be the only logical landing spot for Tennessee Titans impending free-agent DL Albert Haynesworth. Team owner Daniel Snyder had dinner with Haynesworth's agent, Chad Speck, this past weekend during the NFL Scouting Combine. Snyder may be the only owner willing to meet Haynesworth's contract demands.

Our pal Lance Zierlein, a Houston radio host who has a blog at the Chronicle web site, reports that the Washington Commanders will sign Titans defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth upon the start of the free agency period.

Unless, that is, the Titans exceed the offer that the Commanders will be making.
Writes Zierlein: “My source tells me to look for a contract that could break $100 million with an average of $15 million to $16 million per. My guy is almost never wrong and [Commanders owner] Dan Snyder gets what he wants.”

The bright side? The next time that Haynesworth tries to remove the scalp of Cowboys center Andre Gurode with a cleat, the behavior will better fit the nickname of Haynesworth’s team.

On Monday, Peter King of SI.com predicted that Haynesworth will land in D.C., pointing out that Snyder was seen dining in Indianapolis with Haynesworth’s agent, Chad Speck.

I hope Tenn pays him. I do NOT want to see him in Washington. He upgrades that DL significantly.

I agree. I don't see why anyone would be happy about this. This is one of the best DTs in the game and a guy who was up for DPOY consideration this year. Sure, he might get lazy after he gets a big deal, but I wouldn't want to chance that he keeps playing like he did this year.

For years the Skins have ignored their D-line, patching it up with retreads and low draft picks. I'd hate to see them put money into an important position instead of WR and S.

I agree as well. Even if he slacks off considerably he would still be one of the better DTs in the league.

That said, that contract is enormous for a DT, no matter who you are. I wouldn't be happy we shelled out that kind of coin for a guy who very well may go into the tank.

Bottom line is I don't want him in Washington, but at least they are paying through the nose for him and it may be a collossal bust.

You should be used to that response by now, everytime a division team gets a half decent player, that player is immediately considered garbage around here regardless of what their actual skills are.
