Haynesworth may be a monster, but he was in a very good situation in Tennessee and really needed to stay there. But like many players, he's seeing the green and will go whereever just to get the contract. He's a very unstable person with questionable character and I wouldn't touch him with a ten foot pole, much less hand over a blank check and pay him.

I don't personally know him but someone I've known for a very long time and I'm extremely close to has known Albert for a long long time. He's a good kid. He's not unstable and has great character.

I know you are jesting but for others who take it very seriously that was aberrant behavior for him. Not an excuse but that one action doesn't describe his life long behavior.
I'm not happy about it. The guy is a great player. I don't want them to get great players. I hope he does the fat cat I got mine thing, but I'm not stupid enough to guarantee he will.Chocolate Lab;2651858 said:I agree. I don't see why anyone would be happy about this. This is one of the best DTs in the game and a guy who was up for DPOY consideration this year. Sure, he might get lazy after he gets a big deal, but I wouldn't want to chance that he keeps playing like he did this year.
For years the Skins have ignored their D-line, patching it up with retreads and low draft picks. I'd hate to see them put money into an important position instead of WR and S.
If they sign him for 100 million I disagree. he also hasn't played a full 16 games since his rookie season.Hostile;2652061 said:I'm not happy about it. The guy is a great player. Good signing until proven otherwise.
I care more about what he can offer on the field than how it can handicap them under the cap. The Commanders have shown they can manipulate the cap. It is no skin off my nose how much Danny pays him. What he can offer to the Defense means infinitely more to me.Rampage;2652068 said:If they sign him for 100 million I disagree. he also hasn't played a full 16 games since his rookie season.
you beat me to it. That what I was thinking. Ware has more value than Haynsworth but I could be bias.eman721;2652093 said:Well, that kind of deal sure has Ware licking his chops.
I hope Ware doeesn't get 100 million dollar contract.Bigdog;2652112 said:you beat me to it. That what I was thinking. Ware has more value than Haynsworth but I could be bias.

Skinsmaniac;2652181 said:When King said that Haynesworth has never played more than 65% of his team's snaps, is that because of injuries? Or does he take regular breathers? He doesn't come off on passing downs right, I thought he was supposed to be a good interior pass rusher?
It's hard to be excited about this news as a Skins fan because of our history.
