I am in the minority. I actually like Goodell.

I like Goodell too, though you can clearly see some inside influences in some of his decisions. (especially when pertaining to the Patriots and the Steelers.)

Hopefully, he will do what should be done in this case.

Anybody can be accused of things.

This is where Roger just needs to back off. Until Big Ben gets proven guilty of something he should just back off.

What if this same thing happens to Peyton Manning? Are you going to suspend him just for being accused?

Roethlisberger has been accused TWICE in a short period of time. There has to be something to this and he needs to be punished especially when you read the reports. If it were me I would sit his *** for 8 games.

I would just like to see the league react to facts instead of he said she said.

If Big Ben doesn't deny plugging in the bathroom then yeah he deserves some punishment.

I believe that there is 512 page investigative report sitting at the NFL offices that says it is more than a "he said, she said."

The DA was asked by the family of the victim to not prosecute the case. The Da probably did not think he could get a conviction without the cooperation of the victim.

I think there are plenty of facts in the case, in the investigative report.

Maybe someone can find it online somewhere and provide the link. It should be an interesting read.

Do you honestly think the NFL would just suspend one of it's star players and faces just on a whim of a he said she said without actually spending many hours, lawyers and investigators to look into the system...Seriously?

Think about that.

I am pretty sure the NFL does not just read some internet rumors or columns in a newspaper and just say...good enough for us let's suspend one of the leagues stars without doing an exhaustive investigation into the matter.
You mean they might actually look at evidence?

Because she could've been bending the truth. She may have willingly done all of that and told everyone it was rape to save face.

Clearly I don't know everything that went on but if Goodell has all the info and there is nothing that proves Ben did anything than he shouldn't react based on accusation alone.

That's simply not true.

Read up on the case, after you're done throwing up like the rest of us, come back and talk about it.

So how do you explain the bleeding and having to go to the hospital? The cleaning of the bathrooms? Recording over the security tapes? The officer being dismissed? You know, the one that had his picture taken with RuthlessRaper hours earlier, and told her not to press charges. The bodyguards at the door? And most damning of all his rapist haircut?

I know what the accusations are. I just dont know if it really happened or not.

I personally think it did but if the legal system doesn't think there is enough there to do anything then I dont understand how judge judy goodell finds enough to warrant a punishment.

He is an NFL player. If you are a public figure and your privately can directly impact what you do for a living, then you shouldn't be doing that.

Joe Montana had intercourse while watching a play, do you think worse of him?

Robespierre is on a slippery slope here. Does adultery now constitute a bad act entitling him to lay down the law?

What about Mumbles who was named as co respondent in a woman's divorce because he was having fun in another man's garden?

Where does Robespierre stop with trying to reignite the moral majority?

No, because a lot of that is evidence being destroyed. That's actually why he's NOT behind bars.

It just goes to show how much class Ben R. has....Shechem and Dinah (Genesis)
IMO he had this whole thing planned. He saw something he wanted, and didn't want to do the right thing which is to date her or at least talk her into going to a room with him while she was sober....instead, he got her drunk and took advantage of her. Why is it so hard for people to understand that this is wrong...Some are saying he wasn't found guilty by the court....neither was OJ the first time!

true dat

the fact she bled (if true) could mean that it was just rough sex (probable) or she lost her virginity that night (highly unlikely)

some of the posters here really need to get off their high horse

do the right thing and "date her"? lol wait until she was sober and get a room? lol

alcohol is the biggest aphrodisiac there is.

come on people, we all know for the vast majority of us before we got married, the best girl in the bar was the one alone with a pitcher of beer all to herself.

actually, OJ was never found guilty, just civilly liable, big difference

Is this a misguided attempt at humor?

Cleaning the bathrooms and recording over the security tape is. And his bodyguard blocking the door (you know, the one who couldn't look the rape victim's friend in the eyes) made it to where there were no witnesses. I wouldn't be surprised at all if that was the first time it happened. Rape is one of the most underreported crimes. It seemed like it was completely planned out.

No. He just doesn't see any difference between consensual and non-consensual sex.

I apologize for you not being able to see my sarcasm....Let me make it plain...She was drunk, obviously he wasn't. I'm quite sure that by his size that he can hold his liquor. The next thing, if you are going to quote something I say, quote it correctly. I said talk her into going to a room with him while she was sober, you know before he purchased shots to get her drunk because it's obvious he couldn't get her prior to that.
