That seems to suggest the Cowboys squandered talent in recent years.

Ummm. Im pretty sure the cowboys have been one of the best drafting teams (offense) since Wade Phillips was fired. I dont know the number but we have drafted quite a few pro bowlers and all pros.

Phillips was fired in 2010- I’ll say there are some good offensive picks on here, but 3/4 of those are first rounders. So they do better at drafting first round offensive guys, thank God. But, Add defense to this list and it’s absolutely pathetic. If they substituted great FA’s with it, it would be 10X better, but they are worse at adding good FA’s than they are drafting. Add the two together, and it’s easy to see why they’ve been a bottom 5 franchise for 26 years.

and we have sucked picking D players which is why ignoring the FA on D will almost certainly see us continuing to be mediocre.

You look at every SB winner of the last 10 years and EACH one of them had critical FA's.

I'm moving up for the best players of need, based on FA. I'm sure I'll be lectured on BPA not player of need, but I'm taking at least a DT, FS, LB, OT and CB, minimum. To get several potential starters will be wonderful.

With that many needs you should be able to get BPA as well lol

Given cap shrinkage, spending in FA makes much more sense than usual if you can raise the cap, and we're already restructuring multiple players. Probably a hint.

I think looking to trade with teams for their potential cap casualties would be a good move. The teams would be happy to get any kind of draft capital from a player they otherwise would have had to cut. Imagine if the Cowboys could turn a 4th and 5th round pick into two starters.

The line was not decimated in 2019. Try again ball washer.

Oh. My bad. I thought we were talking about last season's fiasco.

Umm... sure. Dak sucks. Happy?

HAHA!!! Just like with Tony... prove 'em wrong, Dak! GO COWBOYS!!!

Like that. You can often get some good deals that way on final cuts that way. Normally teams aren't forced into playing the cap casualty game so early in the offseason, but this year, looks like it's been happening all around.

Some people moan about giving up picks when we "could" sign them anyway as free agents, but so could the rest of the league. Better to avoid that competition.

Hey. It gave certain people the belief that Dalton was better than Dak. lol. Until the lights came on and the pressure was on and Dalton did what Dalton does.
Don’t forget thr Nucc! And what about Gilbert?

Those same guys who clamored for Dalton to be our 2021 starter also were advocating for those guys to replace Dak as well.

Honestly, some of those posters would probably have supported the return of Steve Pelluer over Dak.

Who were Kansas City's key FA additions. I am honestly asking.

99, 139, 179 and 227 for the Cowboys.

I wish this was a better draft. With out full season and off season, this draft is a crap shot. I do not see any can't miss prospects on defense. There is really no one on offense. No one played 10 games last season, there was no access to players during the year, there is no combine, and Pro Days are limited access.

If Will McClay gets 2 defensive starters that can play out of this Draft, Jerry Dumbo GM Jones needs immediately give up the GM title to McClay.
