I am confident. After the Dungy article I got a little worried. The more I thought about it though, the more I see we have a much different team than any of those teams he was shutting down. Let them keep 8 in the box. The throws to Dez vs 1 on 1 coverage is just as unstoppable in the regular season as it is in the preseason. Dez feasts on little corners. All corners really. He should take his spot back in the top 3 wideout argument. Not to mention we can and will run against an 8 or 9 man front with our line.

So far Dak has done nothing to show he isn't a special type of QB. Maybe he is. He carried Miss. St. In the best conference in NCAA football. He doesn't have to carry us. Just be good and I think he will. I'd like to see us be creative and mix in the zone read. Combined with conventional O we will be very hard to stop.

Zeke is a stud. He proved it in big college games and started to prove it in his only opportunity by running over Seattle's first team.

The D is better than last year even without our suspended players. They will make enough plays to get us the win.

I just watched nyg vs the last rookie qb they faced (J Winston). Dallas should be fine. The game was close and Doug Martin only had like 50 yards rushing. Eli was basically force feeding Beckham (shocker) and both interceptions came from passes to Beckham. jameis played ok for having zero run game. They exploited Landon Collins in the deep middle for a huge play. That game made me more comfortable about beating New York. If we contain their run game with 7 in the box were going to win easily. We'll see

I initially had ultimate confidence we would beat the Giants week 1 prior to Romo's injury. I felt that way up until Monday and Tuesday about our game on Sunday, then some doubts set in when I was told by the media we have little chance to win with Prescott under center.

Then I got to thinking how these teams match up. The Giants were lucky to escape with a victory over the Cowboys in the second match up last season when we were all but eliminated out and depleted with injuries. The Cowboys were just as lucky week 1, but truthfully we were not good in that game whatsoever.

I have a feeling we have something for NY this Sunday. I have to think the coaching staff learned their lesson from last season and their ultraconservative gameplans won't hold for this Defense over 60 mins. The Prescott led Cowboys will look a bit different than we're used to. I'm personally excited. In a strange way, having Dak @ QB is a complete unknown to our opponents at this point. When will the Read option come? **Can he make the one on one throws? When is that screen pass they ran in PS coming? Play action will be our friend in this one for sure. I'd throw in some uptempo and show confidence in Dak's ability to lead.

It's going to be fun. I think the Cowboys win fairly easily. I don't see them stopping Zeke enough to put the entire game on Prescott's shoulders standing in shotgun. I think Prescott makes them pay early with a few backshoulder strikes, and some nice play action pass plays. He may not play perfect, but he will play well in this game. If we protect the football, we will win going away.

And what about the defense? Love the way you cats can just forget about one side of the ball.

I want to believe. I am excited to see Dak. But they have a pretty good D coordinator, they spent a lot of money on the D in FA, so I have feeling they will bring the house, the kitchen sink and maybe a bathtub on Dak and that will overwhelm the young man. It's hard for a rookie in the NFL. But if we should win this game, the backlash for the Giants would be fun to watch, 200 million bucks spent on D and a Rookie QB in this first start beats ya,, priceless.
Good points...I'd actually be more nervous if Coughlin was still coaching. I still think it's a very winable game. As usual it will probably come down to turnovers. I definitely don't want Dak to have to come back by two scores in the 4th quarter

This whole best O-line in the league BS has got to stop. Here is the analogy....It's like having the Hoover dam as an O-line...except...it's starring in the movie San Andreas because Doug Free is your starting right tackle.

It's pretty much accepted ours is the best.

Haven't forgotten the D. The McAdoo's offense is all quick release routes where pass rush is neutralized to some extent. Our secondary is better immediately with Scandrick back in line up.

The Giants running game is one of the worst in the NFL. I can see them moving the ball well at times, but I don't see a ton of points being scored. I think we'l'll be ok.
