Interesting that all the pro scouts would disagree with you. They just about all have Smith going late first early second and QUinn top 5.

The pro scouts were on Mirers jock too, right? That has to mean he was a good player. Right???? Right????? AM I RIGHT?????!!!

Mirer was a VERY good college QB. Beat michigan a couple of times. But just could not make it in the pros. Sort of Like HENSON, etc.

I know it's coming...sigh...but with those guns, he looks more like a tailback.

Sorry...can't help myself. I'm just a bitter ol' Longhorns fan just trying to stir the pot and rain in on the OSU fans' parade.

I think Smith will do fine at qb if he gets drafted by the right team and they don't try to rush him before he's ready.

The pro scouts are right about most players most of the time. Sure they make mistakes. But this is not one of them.
By the way, concord. I think you take the homerism to an extreme. OSU is not a super team. Of course REAL super teams are never really tested.

Getting drafted by the right team is critical to a QB. Many have been ruined by going to the wrong one.

You can't rain on my parade Draeger,,,,

Funny thing is...I don't recall trying to rain on any Longhorn's fan parade last year.

I worry that Quinn will go to the Raiders or the Lions. Two real pits. If you are a real fan of Smith, hope he goes to a good team. Better to lose some money on a lower draft status then go to a pit.

Super teams play against good teams, get tested, and win.

School is out of session, time to go home to mommy.

The bottom batch of teams right now is Arizona- probably not going after a QB. Raiders- probably WILL. Detroit. Yes. Houston- tossup right now. Green Bay- no. SF- NO. Miami= probably.
So Detroit and Raiders for sure are going after a QB. Looks bad for Quinn.

Super teams eat everyone up and are never tested.

And when was the last time that happened in college football?

If I send you a dollar, could you BUY a clue?

OSU showed a suspect D today. Henne is NOT that good. Arkansas or USC will score on them. Arkansas has a good D; probably a high scoring game.

Don't need a dollar as long as you and concord are the only ones saying dumb things.

It is a pity, tho, when a kid so gifted mentally with QB I&I and so physically talented has to make way for less worthy but less vertically challenged.

But hey, he's got an inch or two on Seneca Wallace...the kid just needs a coach with the balls to transcend height.

Got a few inches on Doug Flutie as well.

You know something? Flutie would have been a good (if not great) qb if he had only been given a decent chance. The years he spent in the CFL were wasted because of the old school mentality that many NFL coaches exhibited way back in the 80s when he was still in his prime.

Just sayin'...

Just say- Henne kind of stank today and yet he had a rating of 143.2
someone has got to come up with a better way to rate QB's

Flutie had PLENTY of chances to be the man in the NFL. He just was not good enough to be a top starter. It had nothing to do with his height.

Yes, for every service academy they beat in a year, they get 3 trillion points. Thats better, right?

It's incredible people like you.

What has Smith done besides:

Beat Michigan 3 STRAIGHT TIMES.

Lead OSU to what? @20 straight wins................

Win the Big Ten Championship..........

Probably sealed the Heisman...................

No, he DIDNT have the PERFECT game..........but they weren't playing Army either..........They were playing the #2 freaking team in the nation.......which happens to be from the big 10!

Along with 10-1 Wis freaking Consin.

4tds against he #1 defense, over 300 freaking yards. What a loser. And you claim you recognize talent. Arkansas...........LOL

Yea, but he's no Vince Young.

;)

<still ducking>
