Congratulations To Alex Tanney!

He may need to go on IR after this game.

A guy could end up with PTSD after having a line block like that for you. Or, it would be more appropriate to say NOT block for you.

guy has cement blocks around his feet.

His rushing yards as a qb in college? -400 yards.

Those must have been from sacks. He said he never had to run the ball because there was never a play where one of his receivers wasn't open.

Those days are clearly over.

if we're going to sacrifice a spot on the 53 for a third qb (and we are not) he needs to have that Aaron Rodgers/Tony Romo quality of extending plays. I don't think Tanney has that, and I question how well it can be taught. That said, I hope he lands on the practice squad.

I don't have a problem with Tanney and think maybe there might be some potential in him maybe as a backup QB. But after tonight's game. It's obvious are problems along the oline are more of a concern then trying to make room on the 53 man roster for a 3rd string QB.

Yea, I don't know what the heck that performance was by both the offensive and defensive lines other than just plain awful.

The guy is about to be cut from what, his fourth team? If some other team snatches him up they may be doing us a favor. He hasn't shown anything but a cannon for an arm.

I agree. We need a lot of help in the tenches and hopefully tonights game will show them that. But I won't hold my breath.......

In all due respect for Tanney. It would be tough to try and show anything when you are running for your life most of the game.

Try throwing the ball with a 300lb lineman in your face every play. Or 2.

He's about to be 26.

If they keep him to be a developmental QB he'll be thirty by the time Romo is done.

Sounds good to me

He's a dime a dozen training camp/preseason QB. We can always find another "Alex Tanney" every year

No problem with the P.S. for him but we seriously need to go get a real qb of the future in next years draft and stop playing games with it.

I think Tanney already looks like a better player than McGee did after 3 years, and he doesn't cost us a draft pick. The blocking was so bad for him tonight, the game was almost like a hazing that Garrett finally called off and took him off the field with one 4th down play left in the game. I hope he makes the team because it seems likely that if we had a line tonight that was even close to average, he would have had a good enough game to have earned a spot, and he really hasn't even started developing yet. He didn't even put the ball on the ground with all of that pounding and being sacked 7 times.

I was at the 1991 game against the Eagles when Aikman got sacked 11 times. He didn’t show much ability to extend plays in that game.

He turned out to be quite good though.

Tanny may have made it past the 1st cut but he is not making it past the 2nd cut. Fully expect him to be released and then brought back to PS. And no not worried someone will pick him up

He is worth bringing back to the PS Lastnight though I don't think he looked off a single WR he seemed to throw the ball to the primary WR no matter if the guy was doubled or not. He locked in on a target never took his eye off of him
