idiot news channels are floating around a pic of a innocent guy with the same name of the shooter.

http://www.foxnews.com/

This dude should sue the hell out of everyone.

That can potentially be dangerous to this guy. That is just irresponsible.

I'm seeing the same pics all over CBS and CNN, it's just very sloppy work all around.

I'd be on the phone with a lawyer right now if i were that guy.

Totally irresponsible and unsafe journalism. It's been proven that that person is NOT the shooter.

Mental health care under valued in this country. Insurance companies dont want to pay for years of depression therapy so they try not to cover mental health very well if at all. Would be nice if everybody had access to quality mental health care. Maybe some of these the real sick ones would be prevented from pulling off these acts.

Very true.

The best thing we can do right now is be sensitive to anyone that is a bit strange and harbors lots of resentment, and alert the appropriate people.

Just a wild guess: people have been more isolated, families with just one parent with less time at the home. I think there is a correlation between this and shooting like this.

WOR radio is reporting the second man in the woods was the shooter's little brother.

I'm reading that the killer posted on 4chan before the shooting.

I'm not going to post the link because it's very graphic stuff, but that site is sick, they encouraged the guy.

what????? did he post any reason for wanting to do it?

This could all be fake as hell, but the guy posted a picture of columbine and stated he lived in connecticut.

Then you had posts saying "do it" and a bunch of meme crap.

Yeah. That picture is circulating on twitter right now.

I'm inclined to think it's probably fake.

Edit: And even if it's NOT fake, no one takes ANYTHING on 4Chan seriously. So, it wouldn't surprise me that the guy said he was going to kill himself on Friday and make the news and people just made fun of him. That's what they do on 4Chan.

WOR radio just said the shooter's girlfriend is missing. This thing keeps getting worse and worse.

My wife used to say I would never move to <insert place here> because there are crazies out there that shoot up <insert place here>. I used to tell her that they are everywhere. It just hasn't happen here like that yet.

She wouldn't believe me. It sucks that this had to happen, but it did prove my point. Crazy has no borders.

You're so right! Newton's median home value is $400,000 and median income is $110,000 so yeah it can happen ANYWHERE!

Could we be witnessing the ultimate in trolling and attention getting?

I mean the Columbine shooters were speculating if Spielberg or Tarantino would do the movie. {sigh}

If there was a way such shootings do not get on the news, there might be less of them.

Adam Lanza is now the shooter. Ryan is his brother.

What a mess.

Our electrician's kids attend a neighboring school just a few miles away. I drive by Newtown 3 or 4 times a week, pretty quiet northern Connecticut town outside Danbury - a city that comes up fairly consistently in the top 10 places to live in America surveys. Really unimaginable there, or anywhere.

No kidding.

I understand that news organizations want to be first and maybe this was information released by police that they were reporting, but man, for stuff like this they've GOT to keep their facts straight.

They even had pictures up on major news websites of the wrong guy. That guy could be killed because of that. And all because a news organization had to be first, facts be damned.
